About the role:
The Product Manager (Loans and Product Initiatives) is responsible for leading the end-to-end management of loan products while driving strategic product initiatives that advance the organization’s product portfolio. This role blends deep expertise in lending operations with a strong focus on product strategy, transformation, and cross-functional leadership. What you’ll be doing:
Product Vision & Strategy:
- Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for HORIZON loan products, ensuring alignment with FIS’s business objectives and client needs.
- Prepare and present product plans, identifying risks, opportunities, and revenue growth strategies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to drive product innovation and identify opportunities for growth.
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, including planning, profitability, delivery, and retirement of loan products.
- Oversee product launches, enhancements, and releases to market, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
- Monitor and understand product profit and loss statements; may be responsible for revenue and profitability of assigned products.
Requirements & Backlog Management:
- Gather requirements from clients, stakeholders, and market research.
- Prioritize features using structured methods (e.g., MoSCoW) and manage the product backlog.
- Convert business problems into user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
- Track product performance, user adoption, and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present product roadmap reviews, providing strategic direction and business reasons for changes.
Financial Oversight & Planning:
- Manage project inventory during budget planning process, interlock on all companion activity, and prioritize as necessary to execute against plan throughout the year.
- Determine release dates and approve all service level agreements (SLAs) related to products.
What you bring:
- Minimum 5+ years in product management or management consulting, ideally within financial services, fintech, or enterprise software. Experience with lending, loan operations, and servicing is highly valued.
- Deep understanding of credit assessment, underwriting, loan origination and lending. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to translate complex workflows into intuitive product solutions. Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Effective power point presentation and interpersonal skills.
- General business skills, financial management, and strategic planning abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, information systems, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Own the roadmap and product strategy for Cornerstone LMS system advocating on behalf of internal HR customers, Business Unit and Operations teams and employees
