Uber is hiring eligible and interested applicants for the post of Sr Scientist at their Bangalore, India location. As an Application Lead, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. You will be responsible for managing the team and ensuring successful project delivery. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Refine ambiguous questions and generate new hypotheses about the product through a deep understanding of the data, our customers, and our business
  • Design experiments and interpret the results to draw detailed and impactful conclusions.
  • Define how our teams measure success, by developing Key Performance Indicators and other users/business metrics, in close partnership with
    Product and other subject areas such as engineering, operations and marketing
  • Collaborate with applied scientists and engineers to build and improve on the availability, integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data logging and data pipelines.
  • Develop data-driven business insights and work with cross-functional partners to find opportunities and recommend prioritisation of product, growth, and optimisation initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields.
  • 6+ years experience as a Product Analyst, Sr. Data Analyst, or other types of data analysis-focused functions
  • Excellent understanding of statistical principles backed by an academic foundation Advanced SQL expertise
  • Experience with either Python or R for data analysis
  • Significant experience in setting up and evaluation of complex experiments
  • Proven track record to wrangle large datasets, extract insights from data, and summarise learnings/takeaways.
  • Experience with Excel and some dashboarding/data visualisation (i.e. Tableau, Mixpanel, Looker, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven aptitude toward Data Storytelling and Root Cause Analysis using data.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new methodologies for data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to deliver on tight timelines and prioritise multiple tasks while maintaining quality and detail.
  • Ability to work in a self-guided manner.
  • Ability to mentor, coach and develop junior team members.
  • Superb communication and organisation skills.

Social Media Lead

About the Role

The Uber Global Social team is looking for a full time social media lead to lead social content creation and social handles management in your local market across Uber social channels. This is an incredible opportunity to work closely within Uber’s Global Social Team and our local Comms, Marketing, and other Uber teams to invigorate and grow Uber’s organic social footprint in your market, inserting and engaging Uber authentically into the local cultural conversation for brand lift.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute the Social Media calendar for India as well as creating organic social videos, graphics, captions and copy for posts on the local channels.
  • Lead the social media team and strategy and work closely with local and global stakeholders across Comms, Product, Marketing, Social Impact, and the Policy team.
  • Consult to various Campaign Teams in developing social-forward content supporting their Integrated Marketing Campaigns and helping those campaigns  to come to life on the organic handles.
  • Run the local social media accounts, ensuring content is published daily and Community Management efforts are effective.

What You’ll Need

  • 6+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or related roles.
  • A track record of creating and promoting social media content, with an ability to nimbly tell and promote stories in an engaging social-endemic manner.
  • Professional-level experience with Canva, Adobe Premiere video editing, AfterEffects, and Photoshop. Final Cut experience is a plus. Ability to turn around edits quickly.
  • A deep understanding or professional experience with social media platforms, including Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok.
  • Experience with social video publication tools and in-app editing functionalities on Instagram, and tools like Sprinklr and BrandWatch.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading a social media team or project.

As a Operations Manager, Cars Marketplace, you will help drive growth of some of the critical markets in India & South Asia. This will involve strategising growth opportunities and ensure that Uber is the first choice for our riders and driver partners. The right person for this job should have excellent problem solving and analytical skills, strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management experience, excellent time-management and organizational habits, and the ability to clearly communicate and present information.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • You’ll craft and execute the vision, strategy and day to day tactics for growth of Cars Business in India and South Asia.
  • You will work collaboratively with local, regional and global stakeholders to improve the platform experience for drivers and riders by increasing platform attractiveness.
  • You’ll work closely with global team to get products/features prioritised for the region.
  • Partner with critical functional areas (Product, Marketing, BD, Policy, Ops, Legal, Tax, etc.) as needed, to drive business objectives.

What the Candidate Will Need

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience (management consulting, investment banking, operations, etc.).
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional stakeholders in order to execute high-impact projects.
  • SQL experience a plus.
