The TOPS internship provides the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks. The work is project based and will afford the intern contact with personnel from various disciplines within SC Johnson. The assignment that will be given to interns is driven by critical business needs that the organization has at the time of the internship. About the Team/Department

As an Intern Analyst in Supply Planning, you’ll be at the heart of our finished goods inventory management across the EU region.

Responsibilities:

Jump into the action with our Supply Planning Team and learn to:

  • Craft action plans to optimize inventory locations
  • Deliver insightful inventory analysis and reports using ERP and other tools
  • Keep the ERP in check and adjust market allocations based on regional guidelines
  • Track inbound shipments from manufacturing and suppliers
  • Ensure products are available at European warehouses and manage weekly replenishments

Accounts Payable Analyst – Posting team

Overview:

Our EMEA Shared Service Centre (SSC) based in the UK has around 250 people across 3 different functions – Finance, Credit & Collections and Supply Chain.  We support over 20 countries and speak around 40 different languages. The SSC is just one of 5 different SCJ businesses based at the Frimley site.

About the role

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Associate Manager, you will be posting and parking invoices in the Purchase Ledger on a timely basis. This role is also required to actively support the AP Associate Manager in both routine tasks and process improvements.

About the Team/Department

This role is in the Account Payable Payments team but forms part of the larger finance team in the SSC.

Responsibilities:

Ensure accounting process performs to Service Level Agreements within the SSC

  • Processing intercompany and 3rd party invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Be able to understand parked and blocked invoices.
  • Understanding how PO’s have been created.
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis, query management, identification, and resolution of service delivery issues.

Customer satisfaction

  • Develop customer relationships with internal customers (purchasers- and accounting personnel) and provide a high-quality service to all stakeholders.
  • Resolving vendor and country queries efficiently and accurately.

Quality and integrity of financial information provided by the SSC

  • Ensuring the appropriate controls are operational to maintain the quality and integrity of financial information to comply with auditing requirements.
  • Ensuring consistency of process by following best practice.

Owning the accounting to reporting process

  • Identification and implementation of process improvements, with ability to competently share knowledge and learnings.
  • Sharing of knowledge with SSC staff including healthy contribution in team meetings and team objectives.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience of working within an accounts payable department for a multi-national organisation (or experience in AR/Finance role)
  • Previous experience of processing high volume of documents in various currencies
  • Able to demonstrate previous delivery of process improvements.
  • Strong IT/Computer literate skills and Intermediate-advanced MS Excel skills with a working knowledge of SAP

High School Youth Apprentice Position

The High School Youth Apprentice position will work with Production Associates gaining experience in the manufacturing environment.

Youth Apprentice students in this role will work to ensure plant production is safely met utilizing the most efficient means resulting in high quality products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • High School Youth Apprentice will be required to train on, operate and mechanically or systematically intervene with various types of low-tech packaging equipment.
  • The job includes preparing complete and accurate systems records and learning basic problem-solving principals.
  • Operators will be involved in making proper judgments to determine the appropriate actions to take whenever direct or indirect intervention is required on equipment settings and resolution of equipment malfunctions.
  • Operators will also learn to clean, inspect and lubricate; identify/fix abnormalities; and assist with AM (autonomous maintenance / PM (planned maintenance) work on equipment.
  • Safety is a primary responsibility for all team members; All employees will be required to follow all safety rules and guidelines and to participate in the Behavioral Based Safety process and risk predictions.
  • Team members will be responsible to assure quality products are being produced and will utilize various tools, testing and auditing systems to document that the product meets or exceeds the quality standards established in the point of use document.
  • Team members must be able to work independently as well as with a high level of interaction in both small and large group situations and will be required to participate constructively in team meetings, team consensus decision making and with the performance appraisal process.
  • Team members must demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn, teach others and be responsible for various aspects of their lines and equipment.
  • A strong work ethic and attention to detail is critical for the success of the individual and the team as a whole.

  • Employees must be able to demonstrate ability to complete the essential functions of the job and tolerate the ergonomic stressors of the job.  This includes lifting up to 40 pounds, standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing stairs, kneeling, reaching overhead, pushing, and pulling for up to 8 to 12 hours daily.

Warehouse Technician

The person in this role is a member of a flexible, multi-skilled work team that is responsible for planning, implementing, and controlling the efficient, effective flow and storage of product from the site to other locations, RDC’s, and customers. This person will work closely with plant personnel, traffic, and scheduling.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct procedures are followed when entering data into systems or performing other tasks
  • Troubleshoot and maintain palletizers and associated equipment
  • Unload lines and assign product to trailers
  • Interface with computer systems
  • Close trailers to various destinations with correct mix and quantities of products
  • Operate forklifts and associated equipment
  • Receive goods and supplies in shipping center
  • Receive product from other buildings for transfer to RDC’s
  • Be proactive in the development and documentation of methods and procedures for performing tasks
  • Support Plant audits: GMP, SQA, ISO, SEA, Housekeeping, Centerlining, etc.
  • Understanding and consistent application of Lean Principles, ie: Performance Management, Centerlining, CIL, QCO, 5S, Loss Teams, Kaizens, etc.
  • Commitment to completion of technical training grid requirements within the allotted timeframe.
  • Proper utilization of plant data collection systems
  • Analyzing information from data collection systems to determine appropriate next steps

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies

  • Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity
  • Working knowledge of Safety, and Health and Environment principles and practices
  • Demonstrated strength in problem solving and troubleshooting

  • Available to work nights and weekends on a rotating shift schedule
  • Must be available to work overtime
  • Appropriate use and compliance to required PPE (steel toe safety shoes, hearing protection, eye protection)
