Business Analytics Consultant – Entry Level (2025)

Your role.  

You’ll help instill confidence in organizations large and small by assuring the integrity behind the data analytics. We’ll give you the flexibility to craft business solutions, not just spreadsheets.   • Meeting with clients to understand their business issues, develop impactful data-driven solutions and instill confidence by assuring the integrity of the data being used to make decisions.

The qualifications. 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business analytics, computer science or a related field. 
  • Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0). 
  • Detail-oriented leader with strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Interest or experience in cloud technologies. 
  • Willingness to adapt to new technologies and ability to learn quickly. 
  • Experience with data visualizations and reporting platforms OR data Integration technologies with a focus on database architecture, data quality and MDM solutions preferred. 
  • General database knowledge; strong SQL skills preferred.  
  • Education or experience with market leading data management and business analytics tools preferred. 
  • Education or experience with scripting such as Python, PowerShell, Java, XML desired.

Resource Management Consultant – Southeast Michigan

Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Initiate and facilitate regular assessments with managers to discuss upcoming assignments, scheduling needs, or capacity, including evaluation of budgets in comparison of scheduling needs and historical actuals
  • Manage the staffing/scheduling process for the office/region and department
  • Collaborate with office leadership to achieve office utilization goals of staff and meet recommended industry group mix requirements for staff roles
  • Update data in scheduling system as required to ensure that system schedules agree to assignments communicated by managers
  • Create scheduling system reports on a regular basis to help in making decisions about allocating resources across the office and/or regions
  • Assist Talent Deployment Manager in reporting on and evaluating tax/assurance utilization (firmwide)
  • Closely monitor assurance/tax staff hours and schedules
  • Assist Talent Deployment Manager and firm leadership to achieve utilization goals across all practice roles.
  • Proactively address utilization matters with office and firm leadership
  • Mediate conflicts and resolve resource needs that develop in office and/or region
  • Proactively communicate potential staffing issues and provide information to allow for the effective deployment of resources
  • Assign staff to engagements to ensure that resources are effectively deployed and staff workloads are balanced
  • Promote and monitor the sharing of resources region-wide as well as firm-wide
  • Participate/Lead office, region and firmwide scheduling meetings

The qualifications.

  • Position requires 1-3 years experience in a professional services/public accounting firm in either tax, audit, or scheduling role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or other business related field highly preferred
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of complicated tasks
  • Project management skills necessary to:

Marketing – Pursuit Strategy & Proposal Team – Intern (2025)

Your role. 

Plante Moran is looking for a qualified intern to join our marketing department on the pursuit strategy & proposal team. This team collaborates with firm partners and other subject matter experts to match customers with our professional services solutions for audit, tax, and consulting. To give Plante Moran the best chance at winning new business, we develop written proposals, create presentations, prepare materials for external prospect meetings, analyze data, and employ fresh, creative approaches to build trust with for-profit and not-for-profit decision-makers. If you are energized by competitive situations, project deadlines, creating persuasive communications, and collaborating closely with others to achieve a common goal – this is the internship for you!   

 

The intern should be prepared to work in a team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing, with a strong focus on the following: the sales enablement function within marketing, the stages of a pursuit process to capture new business opportunities, marketing technology data that informs the pursuit process, and persuasive content development. The intern will lead projects, but they will also have opportunities to shadow (observe) internal experts who lead our most strategic pursuits. Your work will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of sales proposals and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses by working with various team members as an observer or hands-on contributor. 
  • Help prepare materials for pursuit meetings and presentations 
  • Review, edit, and proofread draft proposals to ensure content is accurate and conveys a strong, positive impression of the pursuit team and the firm  
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously through effective project and time management, balancing client needs, and prioritizing tasks 
  • Learn Qorus (proposal technology tool) to complete scope of assigned duties 
  • Understand the basics driving a pursuit/proposal pipeline of work, from intake through win/loss stages 
  • Perform analysis of marketing and sales data in CRM and other marketing technologies (martech) to aid in development of pursuit win strategies 
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team atmosphere on a daily basis

The qualifications. 

  • Completion of three years of study in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, journalism, or related degree

  • Technology experience that will translate into building competency with Qorus software and Dynamics CRM is a plus

Realpoint Project Analyst – Intern (2025)

Your role. 

As a project analyst, you’ll support all aspects of real estate investment advisory services including portfolio strategy, asset management, capital markets and acquisition/disposition. Your work will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Monitoring market and industry trends, proactively identifying trends that could impact real estate holdings.  
  • Supporting the project team to analyze and underwrite potential new investment opportunities.  
  • Preparing detailed financial models utilizing Argus and Excel to support client engagements.  
  • Assisting in the preparation of period investment reporting to clients.  
  • Working with team members to develop annual property budgets and provide ongoing monitoring.  
  • Preparing materials and presentations to prospective new clients.
