The D2AS Games Specialist raises the bar when it comes to providing exceptional support to our customers. Games Specialists will obsess over solving a customer’s issue through any channel and feel comfortable dealing with undocumented and technically-detailed customer problems. Games Specialists must be passionate about gaming culture and have extensive experience playing games. The role is comprised of 2 main parts Traditional channels (Phone, Chat, email) and moderation (forums or in-game support) it operates 24×7.
Responsibilities:
- Contact support for a wide range of gaming use cases through phone, chat, email and other channels (general information, account troubleshooting, in-game support, game trust and safety issues).
- Moderation of game forums on both first- and third-party platforms.
- Identification of recurring issues and contact drivers during alpha, beta and GA phases.
- Escalation of critical on-going issues and player trust and safety concerns.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Proven gaming experience, with an extensive background in MMORPGs and other online gaming genres across multiple gaming platforms.
- Proven knowledge of the gaming culture (you should know what GGWP means and know what is considered appropriate behavior when engaging with the online gaming community).
- An in-depth knowledge of gaming hardware, platforms, and networking technologies is required.
- A familiarity with multiple gaming platforms is preferred.
- An ability to understand complex technical information in order to properly troubleshoot customer issues is critical.
- A history of excellent customer service skills is required, including outstanding interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills.
- Hardcore Gamer.
- Extensive MMORPG experience.
- Multi-platform gaming experience.
- Experience moderating community forums.
Technical Requirements:
- A reliable ISP (internet) connection with bandwidth not lower than 100 Mbps either through DSL or a cable modem is required. Any other form of internet connectivity is not allowed.
- 6 hours of personal power backup.
Have a dedicated analog telephone landline/mobile phone from a reliable carrier (must be installed before you start).
- Minimum age: 18 years old
- Have the right to work in India
- Strong communication skills in English (both written and oral fluency)
- Experience working with a computer
- The availability to work varying shifts from Monday to Sunday within the operating hours of 6 am and 11 pm
- Willingness and ability to work in rotating shifts (i.e. early, late, overnight, weekend, and overtime as required)
- You’ll need a quiet, distraction free work space (dedicated office space with a desk and chair)
- From a technical perspective, a minimum broadband connection of 100MB download speed and 20MP upload speed using a hard-wire ethernet internet connection (no WIFI).
