About the Role
As the International Strategy & Growth Lead, you will be at the forefront of accelerating OpenAI’s global footprint. You will use your analytical, strategic, and operational skill sets to identify new market opportunities, optimize international go-to-market strategies, and ensure sustained, profitable growth. This role involves close collaboration with regional business leaders, product managers, marketers, data scientists, and other cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Drive International Growth & Conversion:
Develop and execute data-driven strategies to boost user acquisition, conversion, retention, and overall business health in international markets. You’ll synthesize market insights and customer feedback, working closely with regional teams to optimize conversion funnels, product-market fit, and monetization strategies. - Strategic Business & P&L Management:
Own and shape international business plans, strategy, and forecasts to ensure sustainable growth. Collaborate with local market leads and HQ stakeholders to set ambitious but achievable targets, identify key performance indicators, and refine strategic priorities over time. - Market Expansion & Localization:
Identify new market entry opportunities, design scalable launch frameworks, and deliver effective go-to-market strategies that respect cultural nuances and local customer needs. You’ll guide the localization of products and marketing assets to ensure maximum impact and resonance across diverse regions. - Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution:
Partner with product, marketing, research, operations, and compliance teams to align growth initiatives with broader company objectives. Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to execute projects end-to-end, balancing the complexity of local market differences with the unified vision of OpenAI’s brand and mission. - Data driven decision-making:
Leverage data and market intelligence to evaluate business performance, inform decision-making, and continuously refine our approach. Develop and maintain clear reporting structures, share actionable insights with leadership, and create structured frameworks to guide teams toward the most significant growth opportunities. - Stakeholder Engagement & Influence:

What We’re Looking For
- Experience & Leadership:
5–10 years of experience in growth, strategy, business operations, or a quantitatively driven analytics role. Demonstrated success in leading high-impact initiatives within high-growth environments, ideally at a global scale. Experience translating complex market data into actionable plans is essential. - Analytical & Strategic Thinking:
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of using data-driven insights to improve business performance. Familiarity with financial modeling, forecasting, and key growth metrics is highly valued. - Market Knowledge & Adaptability:

Strategic Finance, Compute
Compute is a key lever for OpenAI and AI progress. This hire will manage investments in compute and infrastructure for our industry leading AI research and products. You will be responsible for defining and driving key investment decisions, managing ongoing infrastructure costs, and ensuring we are maximizing return on our infrastructure investments. - 7+ years of experience across strategic finance, business operations, venture capital, private / growth equity, private credit, investment banking, consulting, strategic finance, corporate development, strategy & operations, and/or business development
- Experience with project finance, capital project and infrastructure financial analysis, and large-scale, high dollar investment projects
- Knowledge of physical computing infrastructure: power and space, data center facilities, hardware, and networking

We’re seeking an AI Policy Counsel to help navigate the increasing AI legislative and regulatory landscape in the US and abroad. We’re looking for a legal self-starter with deep experience in technology policy and a knack for analyzing complex legislative and regulatory proposals for which there is often little precedent. This role reports to our Associate General Counsel of AI Policy.
This role is based in our San Francisco, CA HQ. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
In this role, you will:
- Track, analyze and forecast legislative and regulatory proposals on issues like AI risk management, bias and discrimination, provenance, data transparency, and more, to understand their impact on OpenAI and the broader AI community.
- Provide strategic policy analysis and advice to the Global Affairs team and other internal stakeholders.
- Help build and iterate on a robust AI governance framework to comply with enacted laws and harmonize our practices with industry best practices, standards, and global governance models.
