The Opportunity

Our Diagnostics business currently has an opportunity for an Associate Quality Specialist for our Irving, TX location. The primary function of this position is to be responsible for administrative and tactical activities that support the efficient functioning of Quality Assurance and the Quality System.

What You’ll Work On

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.
  • Participate in Quality System processes which may include training, corrective action and preventive action (CAPA) activities, equipment maintenance, product and process planning, quality audits, validation.
  • Assist in determining quality attributes and requirements. may provide technical assistance.
  • Utilize quality management techniques to perform investigations and facilitate solutions.
  • Responsible for completing documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with business standards.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of FDA Quality System Requirements and other applicable US Code of Federal Regulations for Devices.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 standard. Knowledge of quality management techniques and application.

The base pay for this position is $48,000.00 – $96,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.

Territory Manager, Structural Heart, TAVI (Sarasota, FL)

This position may be hired at different level, depending on the experience of the candidate.  This position may travel more than 50% depending on staffing and regional demands.

 

What You’ll Work On

The TAVI Territory Manager is responsible for ensuring that the assigned territory meets or exceeds sales and clinical objectives of the Structural Heart TAVI division. This role is responsible for commercial accounts and trial sites in assigned territory reporting into the Regional Sales Director. Your role will be highly impactful in making a difference in the lives of patients.

  • Collaborates with the Regional Sales Director to identify account opportunities and to achieve quarterly sales objectives and goals in the assigned territory.
  • Coordinates daily territory activities with the territory Clinical Sales Specialists and the regional Clinical Lead Specialist.
  • Develops and implements customer focused sales and clinical strategies to support the customer TAVI program goals. Provides customer quarterly business reviews.
  • Develops actionable sales and account plans utilizing clinical, sales and data analytics to be competitive and differentiate our products and services.
  • Utilizes SFDC program and additional sales tools to manage the sales process.
  • Completes field training program to become authorized to support cases solo and additional designation as an Abbott proctor delegate.
  • Scrubs in sterile and provides valve loading and case support for TAVI procedures for the safe and effective use of Navitor with FlexNav and other portfolio devices used in commercial and clinical trial cases.
  • Evaluates patient anatomy and valve sizing for customers for pre case planning utilizing a CT program (Pie Medical 3 Mensio) and provides the customer sizing report.
  • Proficient with multiple imaging modalities to include angiography, TTE, TEE and CT as well as the interpretation of ECG and hemodynamics.
  • Develops customer relationships and collaborates with various departments within hospital to identify key stakeholders to facilitate future sales.
  • Attends and participates in team meetings, trade shows, educational conferences, and webinars
  • Provides in services and onsite training for proper use of our products.
  • Maintains clinical expertise by attending company product training sessions as requested. Responsible for forecasting, executing on a quarterly plan of action and managing account consignment.
  • Complete vendor credentialing process for hospital access as required

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 7+ years’ cardiovascular sales experience, 5+ years of which are Structural Heart, TEVAR, EVAR, TCAR or endovascular. Or, TAVI/Transcatheter valve industry case support experience of 300+ cases.
  • Demonstrates clinical competency and understanding of the severe aortic stenosis disease state.
  • Strong clinical acumen, proven sales performance, organization, communication, and process skillsets to enable success in the role.

The Opportunity

 

The position of Records Custodian is within our Toxicology Laboratory located in Richmond, VA. Primary duties include performing daily record center activities such as tracking record storage, coordinating record transport between off-site storage, and processing record requests. This position also works with laboratory staff and external clients such as attorneys and representatives of the courts to coordinate testimony and provide litigation packets. Employee also provides assistance prior to and during several regulatory audits through the year, retrieving data and other records upon request.

Communications Coordinator

This position works out of our Lake Forest, IL in the PA Public Affairs division.

 

The Communications Coordinator, Public Affairs, Diagnostics provides support to broader team efforts to protect and enhance Abbott’s reputation generally and in diagnostics specifically. Role also provides administrative support.

 

The Coordinator will write content, social posts, media materials and employee comms. Role also provides support in metrics development, research, media analysis, and other support needs to the broader team. Candidates must have ability to develop compelling storylines, frequently from highly scientific topics, that align to traditional, digital and social channels. Coordinator will work cross-functionally with business and corporate stakeholders. Administrative tasks include meeting coordination, travel plans, expense reporting, budget management as well as ongoing ad hoc administrative assignments.

 

The Coordinator must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience in public relations, marketing communications a plus. The Specialist will work closely with the broader team on various projects.

 

The position will report directly to the Senior Director, Public Affairs for Abbott’s diagnostics business. All division PA functions have a line reporting relationship to Corporate Public Affairs.

 

What You’ll Work On

  • Develop communications for diagnostics products and topics.
  • Write a variety of communications including stories for Abbott website, social posts, media materials, fact sheets, infographics, employee communications, etc.
  • Support monitoring and metrics reports for external campaigns.
  • Conduct research on media, external landscape and social media activity and develop into reports.
  • Bring to the table an understanding of today’s communications environment amongst earned, owned, social and paid media and how to align and maximize opportunities provided by these channels for Abbott’s diagnostics products.
  • Interface with various division and corporate internal stakeholders to achieve goals, including marketing, medical, legal, regulatory and corporate.
  • Serve as administrative support to the Diagnostics PA team including scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, expense reporting, and budgeting. Additional and ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Finance/Administrative: Ensure proper adherence to all financial and administrative policies. Ensure programs fall within budget parameters and all paperwork is completed in appropriate manner (invoice logging, purchase orders, statements of work, etc.).
