Associate Director, Field Analytical Tools, Center of Excellence
The Associate Director, Center of Excellence, Field Analytical Tools is a strategic leadership role which applies consulting, analytic, and communication skills to partner with Sales and Marketing in the design and ongoing implementation of field analytical tools. The Associate Director, Center of Excellence (CoE) Field Analytical Tools responsible for providing thought leadership and strategic direction on innovative solutions for the AbbVie US Field and Sales Teams that integrate our understanding of opportunities among key external stakeholders (HCPs, Accounts, Patients, Speaker Programs and Samples). This position influences cross-functional teams to create and onboard new analytic solutions and delivery platforms. Our field analytical tool solutions serve a multitude of stakeholders including Sales/Field and Sales/Field Leadership, Field Planning & Analytics Team (FPAT) and senior leadership.
The position is a part of the Field Planning & Analytics Team which drives field force effectiveness by optimizing our sales force size and structure, ensuring our IC designs are driving the right behavior, and ensuring our call plans, field tools and operations provide our field teams with what they need to drive the business in their markets. This position reports into the Lead Director, IC, Field Tools & Data Strategy and will lead a team of Center of Excellence Field Analytical Tool Managers in order to support field analytical tools philosophy and processes across all franchises.
This is a hybrid role and requires the ability to commute to our Mettawa, IL location at least 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Center of Excellence Field Analytical Tool Managers.
- Epitomize self-sufficiency and serve as a role model for the broader FPAT organization on what good looks like regarding bringing expertise in-house.
- Demonstrate influence without authority by guiding, coaching, and training the TA Field Tools leads.
- Coach Managers on technical ability, communication with stakeholders, process enhancements and working collaboratively with other business partners.
- Manage all aspects of vendor relationships on a day-to-day basis. Ensure vendor-assisted projects are managed within budget and timeline and appropriate methodologies are employed.
Field Analytical Tools Thought Leadership
- Drive collaboration between Franchise Analytics, Field Planning and Analytics Franchise Tools leaders, and the Field Tools Managers to ensure coordination across the organization to deliver value added solutions to the field.
- Effectively communicate the achievements against key milestones of projects. This position is also responsible for collaborating with internal partners to define and drive regular communications to key stakeholders to help them keep a regular pulse on the activities and accomplishments of the initiatives.
- Stays connected with new ideas and approaches both within AbbVie’s enterprise and external in Pharma, drives a lean-forward posture on analytic solutions with the organization.
- Collaborate with appropriate cross-functional partners to build or onboard the solutions to ensure acceptance by the designated stakeholders.
- Responsible for bringing new ideas to the table to address business issues and tackle new solutions.
- Effectively coordinate and interface with cross-functional teams to help build solutions, able to adapt to changing prioritize and can prioritize work effectively.
- BA, BS degree is required.
- Minimum 8 years analytical experience and/or commercial operations experience required. Problem-solving orientation; ability to work independently.

Customer Experience Rep II
A Relationship Builder – You manage direct to physician orders placed via phone, fax, email, and sales reps (providing field sales support). You facilitate new account setup and account changes, make welcome calls to new customers, validate pricing eligibility and facilitate pricing setup.
A Troubleshooter– You provide provisioning and navigation support for Allergan Direct online ordering for customers, process returns and replacements, and provide general customer support.
A Team Player – The team serves as a one stop shop handling inbound and outbound calls. Agents are regionally aligned and manage a regional inbox with incoming emails/faxes with inquiries, orders, and range of requests from customers and the field. CXRs foster the growth of a strong customer base through creating positive interactions and building strong relationships to support customers and Field Sales.
YOU WILL:

The Statistical Sciences (Stats) organization is part of AbbVie’s Data & Statistical Sciences (DSS) organization and plays a vital role in supporting the company’s strategic goals by providing data-driven insights and solutions. The department is responsible for conducting advanced statistical analyses, designing experiments, developing predictive models, and delivering data-driven insights to inform business decisions. The team works collaboratively with other departments across clinical development, regulatory affairs, and global medical affairs to provide statistical expertise and analytical support for various projects and initiatives across all phases of clinical development.
The Stats organization is composed of highly skilled statisticians, data scientists, and analysts who are pioneers in generating and leveraging scientific evidence to provide new treatments that make remarkable impact for our patients. As a Stats intern, you will gain knowledge about the pharmaceutical industry, conduct research on one or more statistical topics, and support other projects as needed. Potential statistical topics include but are not limited to:

Exhibit Account Manager
This role is responsible for providing overall support for exhibits at global congresses. The selected candidate will partner with Global Commercial Brand Teams and Global Medical Affairs to oversee conventions and multi-exhibit programs for several therapeutic areas (TAs) as assigned by their Manager. Additionally, this role is responsible for managing large-scale exhibit projects on own, as assigned. Responsibilities include weekly status meetings with business owners, vendor management, and cross-functional team coordination as well as daily administrative tasks associated with exhibit management, such as: annual congress calendar, budget management, data input, reporting and reconciliation.
- Works with brand teams to determine strategy for booth design and booth experience
- Manages development of creative materials including booth panels, traffic builders, and other promotional opportunities
- Budgets management and reconciliation, relative to the exhibit and liaise with exhibit house, I&D, and AV vendors
- Compliance: document generation, approval and tracking and be a liaison with global brand, medical teams, compliance and purchasing as appropriate
- Overall project management, including timeline and deliverable tracking
- Main POC for association management related to booth selection and coordination
- Produces post show reports for program and cost review and review event bills for accuracy, and approve payment
- Acts as advisor and project manager for the Global Commercial Brand teams, Global Medical Affairs, etc.
- Monitors booth activities in order to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise
- Required to maintain and update program data in meeting and event technology system of record and Convention calendar information
- Reads trade publications, attend seminars, and consult with other convention professionals in order to keep abreast of convention management standards and trends
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and seven years of work experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of trade show related experience, preferably in healthcare, pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry
- Familiarity with PHRMA, CFR, Sunshine Act and global pharmaceutical requirements a plus
- Must be able to determine a trade show’s goals, purpose, message and impression and provide input to internal clients and Candidates for this position must be willing and anticipate long work days during shows. Work hours may be long and irregular, especially in the time leading up to a show
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and adherence to departmental process
- Ability to multi-task and oversee several operations at one time, face many deadlines and coordinate activities of different groups of individuals
- Strong computer skills, an expert at Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Willingness to learn new programs specific to the events industry and have familiarity with metric system and conversion
- Must be able to negotiate with facilities, suppliers and vendors and have strong written and verbal skills
- Extremely organized and proactive with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment
