As an Engineering Team Lead, you will present yourself as a strong leader, demonstrate deep practical engineering knowledge and have a proven track record for timely project delivery and project management. You will be asked to harness your insight into technology and collaborate with Product Managers to make products that enrich the lives of our users, leveraging multiple cross-disciplinary streams to achieve our technological and business vision. You will be responsible for delivering A-class products that scale to millions of users, applying new industry trends and challenging your peers. You will also be responsible for conceiving, designing, and delivering the most complex products within your stream.

In this role, you will:

  • Gather an up-to-date and in-depth understanding of the dubizzle platform and technologies and of industry trends.
  • Provide and share a broad knowledge of technologies and architectures, and function as a mentor within the scope of your product stream and with the rest of the Packs.
  • Collaborate with the team and ensure we always deliver software of the highest standards.
  • Promote companywide coding standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership and mentorship by setting challenging but realistic goals and guiding the team’s efforts towards successful project delivery.
  • Monitor the performance of team members. Identify and encourage areas for growth and personal development.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • Create an optimal working environment and methodologies for the assigned product vertical team.
  • Impact on the direction and scope of dubizzle’s technical vision within your stream.
  • Shape strong cross-functional teams in line with business needs.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Infrastructure, Design, UX, CLM, and Strategy to deliver the highest quality products.
  • Hire A-players to build high-performing teams, constantly raising the bar of engineering talent.
  • Own our business KPIs as a conduit to our Product team and business functions.
  • Maintain and ensure optimal software quality within the assigned product;
  • Mentor and develop a product vertical team of excellent front-end and back-end engineers that deliver high-quality code;
  • Deliver on product vertical team KPIs and objectives, in line with the overall company’s objectives;
  • Be accountable for the attrition rate of his team and the department.
  • Coach individuals in the team to become the next wave of leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field.
  • 7+ years of web-based front-end and/or back-end software engineering experience;
  • Experience working on high-traffic and large-scale web products;
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum and XP;
  • Technical leadership and mentorship experience are a must.
  • Experience in analysis, design, coding and implementation of next-generation web applications in Python;
  • Proven track record for timely project delivery and project management;
  • Prior experience of managing a team of 5+ developers;
  • Drive for innovation and insight into new and old technologies;

  • Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and hands-on Psychology education.

Job Description
  • Ensures all the residents receive prompt and courteous service.
  • Informs Senior Butlers of matters concerning to butler operations, who in turn, will liaise with Head Butler with regards to these matters.
  • Cleans and maintains all butler areas including occupied / non-occupied rooms, pantries, stores, equipments, perishables, stationary, etc.
  • Checks the expiry dates of all perishables and practices optimum usage of recourses.
  • Liaises with In-room dining and checks on a regular basis to ensure amenities, resident preferences and other such points are taken care of and carried out flawlessly.
  • Maintains appearance, discipline and efficiency at all times and understands that necessary action will be taken when found lacking in any of the above.
  • Ensures that consumption of resident supply is under control
  • Delivers the Raffles touch by exceeding the resident’s expectations and providing pro active personalized service.
  • Practices up-selling of the hotel products and facilities.

  • Ensure that repeat residents are met and greeted regularly and the profiles are updated.

Summary

 

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
  • Complete mise en place for assigned section before and during service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with hygiene standards
  • Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency in dishes
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating stock to maintain freshness and prevent wastage
  • Support in plating and presentation of dishes according to hotel standards
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or food quality issues to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of knives and kitchen equipment
