What You’ll Do
As a critical member of the Arista Sales Engineering team, you will act as a trusted advisor to our customers, gathering requirements and identifying opportunities with existing and new customers.
- Collaborate with Arista Account Managers to gain an in-depth understanding of our client and conduct whiteboard network architectural reviews to identify areas for improvement in network performance and efficiency
- Conduct Arista product presentations of Arista’s Open Networking Data Center and Cognitive Campus (including Wi-Fi) networking solutions, CloudVision (Network Automation), Security (Network Detection), Endpoint Security, and Real-time Fabric Monitoring solutions
- Utilize your expertise in network design and implementation, including leaf and spine architectures involving overlay technologies such as VxLAN and EVPN, to create consistent and highly scalable Arista Data Center and Campus network solutions that improve network performance and efficiency for our enterprise and commercial clients in the region
- Conduct thorough hands-on testing of customer proof-of-concept setups, Data Center and/or Campus network designs, and network deployments using the latest Arista products and features. This testing will ensure the successful deployment and performance of Arista network solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients and prospects in the region
- Offer design guidelines and provide recommendations to our clients and prospects in the region to enhance the performance and efficiency of the networks they support. These recommendations will balance specific customer needs with proven Arista Validated Designs to meet the specific needs of our clients and designed to optimize their network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the sales team to respond to RFP/RFQs and provide valuable customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering.
- Through your expertise and insights, you will help to ensure that Arista network solutions meet the needs of our clients and prospects in the region. As a member of the Arista Sales Engineering team, you will help drive features, functions, and product development through your feedback and help shape the future of our network solutions.
- Serve as a representative of Arista at SDN and other Open Networking industry events and conferences. Through your expertise and thought leadership, you will help to build awareness and promote Arista’s innovative network solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in networking technology, including competitive solutions, products, and services
- Author and collaborate on informative white papers on Arista technology and products that showcase your expertise in network design and implementation and help solve real world customer challenges.
Qualifications
- In-person/on-site support at client location in Seattle for 2-3 days a week
- Network Industry Certification preferred, such as ACE-L4, ACE-L6, ACE-L7, and others.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in L2/L3 networking design and implementation with a focus on Data Center, Campus, and Wi-Fi solutions.
- Expert-level experience with routing and switching, including L2/L3 protocols, as well as overlay technologies such as VxLAN.
- Current hands-on experience in designing highly scalable leaf-spine network architectures.
- Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineer is preferred.
- Expert knowledge in Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, and QoS.
- Good understanding of the competitor technology landscape, specifically Cisco and Juniper.
- Expert-level knowledge of the industry-standard Command Line Interface (CLI).
- Previous experience building network automation using Python and Ansible is highly desired.
- Strong writing skills and ability to create informative white papers on technology and products is highly desired.
Compensation Information
The new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $120,000 to $176,000. Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection. Service Renewal Specialist
We continue to grow as a company and have an exciting opportunity to join Arista’s Sales Operations Team. This role will primarily focus on driving renewal revenues in a fast paced Cloud computing environment within agreed SLA while providing a superior customer experience. This role will include interacting with customers and the whole Arista contract to cash team and it is envisaged the successful applicant will contribute in all areas of Sales Operations.
What You’ll Do
- Ensuring all Installed Base records are correct and up-to-date, this includes working with Sales Reps/Customers/Partners on reconciliations.
- Proactively preparing renewal quotes to ensure customers have the opportunity to renew before their support expires, this includes working closely with Sales Reps and Customer to understand their requirements and responding appropriately.
- Responding on a timely basis to queries relating to support, renewals and Installed Base queries.
- Follow-up on customer related issues, including processing RMA requests and updating the Installed Base and Service Contract to correct errors.
- Develop and maintain understanding of the channel sales model, direct sales model and partner effectively with Distributors and Resellers.
- Clearly understand all product offering, subscription and renewal licensing models. Enter orders every quarter so as to stay up to date with Order Management and be ready to assist when required.
- Process purchase orders received from Arista’s partners and end-customers and produce commensurate Arista Sales Orders.
- Updating SFDC and assisting Sales Management.
- Other duties/projects when required; particularly to help achieve SOX compliance and to meet the sales operations team SLA.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales, specifically software maintenance renewals & orders management is preferred: 5+ years
- Must have attention to detail and ability to follow-up with Arista Account Representatives and/or Arista partners/customers on purchase order and shipping terms and issues.
- Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to take initiative and work proactively with minimal supervision.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong computer proficiency. Additional languages would be an advantage but are not a requirement.
- Knowledge and ability to forecast maintenance bookings and a strong desire and willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do

- The Systems/Network Engineer is a critical component of the Arista Sales team with the key responsibility of acting as a trusted advisor for our customers to gather requirements and identify opportunities with existing and new customers.
- You will architect, design, and propose Arista Data Center & Campus network solutions using leaf-spine architectures
- You will be working with the hyperscalers on next-generation architectures and products.

Senior Mechanical Engineer
This position reports to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and is responsible for the mechanical design of the next module or the next chassis that we bring to market. Arista produces switches with a high number of ports per rack unit. This creates challenges in mechanical design. You will be faced with the usual requirements, like structure, cooling, EMC, safety, manufacturability, cost, appearance, tolerances, documentation, conforming to a family of existing products, along with tight schedules. In each project you will work with a cross functional team to ensure that the end solution is brought to market quickly and meets our customer’s needs.
- Explore solutions suggested by team members and add new solutions that blend all of the requirements.
- Implement the selected design using Creo 3D CAD and provide all the necessary drawings, critical to function dimensions and 3D files to allow the design to be prototyped and manufactured.
- Schedule and manage peer and cross functional team reviews of your design and participate in reviews of other engineers designs.
- Structure bill of materials (BOM), release and change the product using product lifecycle management tools (Agile).
- Provide 3D models to be used in thermal simulations.
- Provide PCB design drawings and 3D files to the ECAD design team. Work with the electrical engineer and PCB layout to address placement concerns. Check the final design of the PCB.
- Work with CMs and suppliers to address any DFM concerns they have.
- Work in the lab to check prototypes against the 3D MCAD design and debug design issues.
- Communicate manufacturing issues found in the lab to the CM.
- Some travel to suppliers to troubleshoot issues or to help expedite a build is required.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to resolve production sustaining issues.
Qualifications
- BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering + 7 years’ experience.
- Relevant experience in mechanical design of computer/network equipment designed to operate in data centers is preferred.
- Experience in ECO, BOM and Deviation processes, (Agile experience a plus).
- Experience using ProEngineer (PTC Creo) is a plus.
- Experience with Mechanica (PTC Creo Simulate) a plus.
- Experience with thermal simulation and air flow testing is a plus.
- Experience with liquid cooling systems a plus.
- Experience designing sheet metal parts using soft and hard tooling guidelines.
- Plastic part design for both cosmetic and non-cosmetic uses.
- Familiarity with PDMLink (PTC Windchill) a plus.
- Hands-on experience with tests (shock, vibe, EMC etc.) is a plus.
