Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-time Emergency Medical Technician I to work varied shifts including weekends, as required by department. Positions are available throughout a variety of New Jersey locations. Our entry level offers start at $21.64 / hour and increase based upon experience.

Job Description
Responsible for providing care and services of selected member populations across the continuum of illness. Ensures effective utilization and monitors health care resources. Manages the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal clinical and resource outcomes. Works with the Supervisor/Manager of Case Management to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate services and outcomes to maximize the health of the patient.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Manages, coordinates, and facilitates the care delivered to patients through patient/family assessment and multidisciplinary collaboration.
2. Ensures daily chart review, utilization reviews, coordination of discharge planning activities and comprehensive clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
3. Provides interdisciplinary patient care rounds, and identifies and works to resolve quality of care issues, barriers to the progression of care and discharge delays.
4. Formulates, coordinates and implements discharge plans and an efficient plan of care to ensure safe, timely and effective discharge plan.
5. Works with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to manage and assist the patient care plan.
6. Performs variance tracking, outcome analysis and identifies problems to assess the effectiveness of the clinical pathways.
7. Servers as a representative of the department and for the hospital community outreach.

Qualifications

Sterile Processing Technician
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-Time Sterile Processing Technician for the Central Sterile Supply at Morristown Medical Center. Required hours are: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday including alternating weekends; No on-call.
Essential Functions:
- Operates all required equipment and machinery accurately and safely, prepares, assembles, and sterilizes instruments and supplies according to parameters of sterilization.
- Accurately handles and cares for instruments appropriately, including appropriate selection of cleaning agents and lubricants.
- Correctly peel-packs supplies/instruments, wraps instruments for sterilization, inspect each instrument for use, function, completeness and cleanliness.
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all FSC policies, procedures and standards and quality of service.
- Cleans, sets up, sterilizes and distributes instruments as scheduled on each shift.
- Handles and disposes of infectious waste appropriately.
- Adheres to Standard Precautions as appropriate, which may include: the use of protective barriers, as appropriate (e.g., gloves, masks, gowns, pocket masks, and/or safety glasses).
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Completion of a Sterile Processing/Surgical Technologist program required.
- Certified Central Service Technician required.
- Certified Endoscope Repressor (CER) required.
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years of related experience preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a sterile processing technician preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of related experience in endoscope reprocessing.
