You will be a part of Communications, Media & Entertainment CoE (Center of Expertise) in BCN’s Consulting Services and work with individuals who are passionate about solving managements questions for the clients and developing industry perspective and products in the telecom, media & entertainment sector. The CoE serves leading companies across domains such as Wireline and Wireless Telecommunication, Cable and Satellite, Media and Gaming industry. The team is primarily focused on collaborating with practice/case teams on the development and deployment of industry specific analytical products and partner with case teams to answer strategic questions of Bain’s CME clients.

- Take responsibility for the assigned work streams to deliver high quality output

The Role
The Associate, Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense processes invoices and expenses, with a higher level of functional/technical knowledge. They play a more independent role in reviewing and entering invoices/expenses into the system accurately and in a timely manner. They also act as a point of contact between internal and external customers, addressing inquiries and providing timely responses. Associates ensure adherence to company policies while assisting employees with the application of Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense policies. They may also support the team in matching vendor credits and generating pay lists.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process invoices into the proprietary Accounts Payable program, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- Communicate with internal employees and external vendors to address inquiries, provide information, and resolve issues.
- Apply Accounts Payable policies and procedures to review, approve, and document invoice requests.
- Generate pay lists and match outstanding vendor credits in accordance with established schedules.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to support efficient and accurate Accounts Payable operations.
Travel & Expense
- Review employee expense reports for reasonableness and consistency with firm policy, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) and should be able to handle employee queries effectively.

Associate – Consumer Product
Who you will work with
The Consumer Products Center of Expertise collaborates with Bain’s global Consumer Products Practice leadership, client-facing Bain leadership and teams, and with end clients on development and delivery of Bain’s proprietary CP products and solutions. These solutions aim to answer strategic questions of Bain’s CP clients relating to brand strategy (consumer needs, assortment, pricing, distribution), revenue growth management (pricing strategy, promotions, profit pools, trade terms), negotiation strategy with key retailers, optimization of COGS etc.
You will work as part of a team comprising of a mix of Director, Managers, Projects Leads, Associates and Analysts, on projects that typically range from 3 weeks to 3 months. Delivery models on projects vary from working as part of a broader global Bain case team, BCN working independently with a Bain Associate Partner / Partner, or BCN working directly with end clients.
