The Client Services Analyst will deliver excellence in customer service to agents, insureds, claimants and others business partners for support of our digital products. Provide customers support for company products including assistance in accessing and navigating the website applications and software programs, online access set up, and troubleshooting all products.

 

This position will be with National Indemnity Company in Omaha NE, and be hybrid after 6 months. Hours for this role will range between 7am to 7pm CT.

 

What will you do?

  • Serves as the point of contact for customers on all technology support items. Acts as first point of contact with customer via telephone, e-mail or other communication, gathering necessary information to help provide answers to questions and problem solve.
  • Reports errors in the software products used by agency partners and insured and tests the products as necessary to fix outstanding issues.
  • Answers first level underwriting questions relating to commercial lines automobile and property new/renewal policies for the agency distribution segment.
  • Assists agents navigate online rater question flows and assess submission status. Identifies second and third level underwriting support issues and transfers these issues to the appropriate individuals.

Financial Operations Manager

The Financial Operations Manager plays a critical role in the design and oversight of disbursement and related processes associated with accounts payable (AP), payroll, travel & entertainment (T&E), procurement, commissions, and claims. This position ensures the efficient, accurate and controlled disbursement of funds across one or more Divisions. The Senior Financial Operations Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, develops procedures, evaluates controls, monitors workflows, and makes decisions to optimize financial/disbursement operations.

 

This position will be in Omaha NE, and Hybrid eligible at manager discretion.  This position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.

 

What will you do?

  • Maintain a complete understanding of the current claim ecosystem to establish and maintain associated controls for each claim disbursement channel.
  • Manage the payroll function for one or more BHHC Divisions and related controls.
  • Oversee the T&E lifecycle for one or more BHHC Divisions.
  • Procurement Function Leadership
  • Operate as the subject matter expert over various banking/funding relationships.
  • Oversee the AP disbursement workflow for one or more BHHC Divisions and related controls.
  • Oversee integrations of various applications into existing financial information systems.
  • Act as the finance subject matter expert for MAR within one or more BHHC Divisions. Understand controls and their intent within the overall risk matrix.
  • Develop staff by progressively delegating more difficult duties and encouraging department interaction. Evaluate job performance, interview job candidates, and recommend personnel actions

What will you do?

  • Participates as member of regulatory team to ensure the proper construction of BHHC property and casualty insurance policies.
  • Assists Regulatory Affairs Analysts perform the drafting and participates in the discussion of new policy forms and business documents or revisions and updates to existing policy forms and business documents.
  • Assists Regulatory Affairs Analysts perform the filing of agreed coverage forms with state insurance departments..
  • Assists Regulatory Affairs Analysts with maintenance of company policy form databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of policy form templates, filing information, policy coverage impact, state and company availability, effective dates, and business rules.
  • Shadows in the auditing and review of issued policies to ensure that they are properly constructed and completed according to company specification and in compliance with state rules and regulations.
  • Learns compliance survey and audit work of the Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies group of insurance companies’ operations.
  • Assists Regulatory Affairs Analysts in the review of legislative material received from state insurance departments, industry service organizations, and motor vehicle departments for impact on policy forms, rates, rules, applications, underwriting rules, and Company procedures.
  • Assists Regulatory Affairs Analysts in Company response to market conduct exams and similar state insurance department inquiries by answering questions and discussing various issues.

Marketing Representative – Northern States Agency

What will you do?

  • Responsible for monitoring and fostering agency relationships in assigned territory with a travel level of approximately 50% of the time.
  • Follows up on action items/questions from visits. Communicates issues raised by individual agents and troubleshoots most common problems.
  • Initiates contact with prospective agencies by calling agencies directly to identify characteristics and qualifications of the agency and to understand the level of interest in the agency’s products.
  • Manages advertising for the agency by identifying products to promote, initiating ideas, developing ideas with others in the agency, and submitting designs for approval.
  • Obtains necessary agency licensing and producer information required for agency appointment process and submits to controller.
  • Registers for and attends conventions or other industry functions to maintain visibility to current and potential customers.

 

What are we looking for?

  • 1-2 years related work experience
  • Knowledge of insurance and rating and insurance products
  • Insurance industry and marketing techniques
  • Preferred to have knowledge of principles of finance, business, statistics, and insurance
