Boeing Defense Space & Security has an exciting opportunity for a Design and Analysis Engineer to join us as part of the Space, Intelligence, and Weapons Systems (SI&WS) Design Center team.  Come be a part of the team and choose which office you want to sit in:  Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, Titusville, FL.

The SI&WS Design Centers provide enterprise-wide expertise for aerospace design and analysis. The SI&WS Design Centers both Boeing Commercial Aircraft (BCA) and Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS), primarily in the area of Structural and Mechanical Design and Stress Analysis.

In addition, the Design Centers also have experience in Environmental Control Systems (ECS), Thermal/Fuel Systems analysis and Flight Test Engineering.  The Design Centers have been an integral part of the design for the (BDS) P8-A Poseidon Aircraft, KC-46A Tanker, SLS for NASA; and, for BCA , the Commercial 787 Dreamliner and 737-MAX and 777X airplanes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document moderately complex requirements via drawings, data sets, reports, specifications, and supporting data.
  • Design based on defined requirements.
  • Test and validate designs to meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Monitor suppliers’ performance to ensure integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Resolve moderately complex problems with product integration and production anomalies.
  • Research advances in specific technologies for potential application to company business needs.
  • Participate with members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives.

This position is expected to be fully onsite in your choice of Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, or Titusville, FL.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Experience using excellent spoken and written communication skills to communicate with leaders, colleagues, and customers in an engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship experience.
  • 1+ years of experience working with or on an engineering team.
  • Experience with Creo, NX, Catia V5 or other design CAD tools for developing electrical or mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with PATRAN, NASTRAN, Abaqus, or use of other FEA solvers to analyze the strength of aerospace structures.
  • Previous aerospace industry experience.
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Production Coordinator Level B – Component Paint Operations

Boeing is currently looking for Production Coordinator Level B – Component Paint Operations (Open) to join their team in Jacksonville, FL. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Processes and moves production and other materials into and out of storage, production and other locations to support the flow of production following standard work instructions.
  • Monitors work in process.
  • Communicates status of parts and materials using automated systems and manual reporting methods to insure parts availability.
  • Identifies and solves problems or discrepancies of limited scope with parts and materials using established procedures or processes.
  • Coordinates with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays.
  • Works under general supervision.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start isrequired.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. (Jacksonville)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb and descend stairs, bend and lift items, package materials and unload materials from containers frequently throughout the shift
  • 1+ years of experience supporting manufacturing or retail industry for non-production materials, tools and shop supplies
  • Forklift license or ability to obtain a forklift license
  • 1 + years of experience using GOLD and/or ERP/MRP systems

Experienced Supply Chain Specialist

Boeing is seeking a Experienced Supply Chain Specialist (Level 3) for our Atlanta, GA facility. The Supply Chain Specialist will act as a key liaison between DCMA, external customers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency. This role involves resolving issues related to materials that cannot be received, working closely with relevant parties to identify and address root causes effectively. Responsibilities also include analyzing inventory data, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to maintain accurate inventory records. Additionally, the specialist will coordinate shipping activities with government entities and the 3PL warehouse under management, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of materials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Jacksonville FL.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a liaison among onsite customers, external customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and collaboration.
  • Manages material receipt issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Analyzes inventory data to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records to support operational readiness.
  • Works with 3PL providers on inventory issues to ensure supply chain efficiency.
  • Coordinates shipping activities with government entities and ensures compliance with shipping requirements.
  • Addresses and resolves grief requirements to support seamless program operations.
  • Optimizes the execution of the supply chain by balancing inventory, supply orders, and schedule demand.
  • Monitors supplier performance and relationships to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability, and in-service performance.
  • Identifies and mitigates risks and issues within the supply chain.
  • Initiates supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies.

  • Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
