About the role:
The Patient Benefit Specialist is a position within our Houston Based -Boston Scientific Cardiac Diagnostic revenue cycle team that works with insurance and patients regarding their cardiac diagnostic services claims.

As the Patient Benefits Specialist your responsibilities include providing patients with benefit and cost estimation of services as ordered by their provider. This position requires both Insurance Research and Patient Customer Service that will provide patients with accurate information regarding their insurance benefits, financial assistance availability and estimation of patient cost while providing excellent customer service and positive patient experience.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for identification of copay and deductibles, communicating patient financial responsibility to patient prior to date of service, and collection of such patient responsibility prior to service.
  • Obtains insurance verification and benefits using an automated verification tool, insurance carrier websites, or by phone.
  • Prepares an estimate for scheduled service and notifies the patient/guarantor of any applicable out of pocket and requests payment if applicable.
  • Accurately documents all information in the appropriate fields and or/account notes.
  • Organizes, prioritizes, and reviews daily work activity to ensure completion of assigned workload.
  • Courteously answers telephone and/or emails and answers all questions in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with patients/guarantors, insurance companies, clinical personnel, co-workers, and management to promote teamwork and cooperation.
  • Outbound/Inbound phone calls with patients to verify shipping address.
  • Release orders for shipment once all prerequisites are met.
  • Add all special request notes to patient orders.
  • Send study cancellation notifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Outstanding Phone communication skills.
  • Participates in educational activities and attends regular staff and department meetings.
  • Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow team members and management.

Required qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience with an Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in providing healthcare insurance verification and quoting.
  • Knowledge of insurance principles and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.

Territory Manager – Memphis, TN

The Territory Manager is primarily responsible for selling the Intracept technology and providing clinical and technical information to healthcare professionals and their patients to achieve sales objectives. Join our vision to transform the treatment of chronic low back pain.

 

Location and Travel: Ideally, candidate will reside within/near the 240 loop. 0-1 Overnights per week in a hotel, on average, is anticipated. The geography covered in this territory will extend beyond Memphis, to include Forrest City, Jonesboro, union City, Lexington, and Olive Branch.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute territory business plan, resulting in achievement of assigned sales objectives.
  • Excellence in product and procedure knowledge, business acumen, and proven sales processes to achieve results.
  • Conduct clinical in-service training programs with appropriate customers.
  • Educate health care providers, in a clinical setting, on the proper use of products.
  • Work with facility decision makers to ensure approved usage of products.
  • Understand and educate healthcare professionals on patient care pathways.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the pricing and reimbursement landscape relevant to products.
  • Manage inventory and sample control processes which include but are not limited to compliance regulations, cost control measures, and field/sample inventory management.
  • Stay current with company communications through the use of technology which includes but is not limited to email, voice mail, conference calls, meetings, and CRM software.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities which includes, but is not limited to: customer interactions through CRM, timely submission & management of expenses, proficiencies in required trainings.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of outside sales / sales management experience, minimum of 2+ years of medical device quota-based sales experience.
  • Demonstrated track record meeting and/or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Will favor candidates with prior success with new therapy introductions, and radiographic imaging.
  • Demonstrated track record of sales performance.
  • Clear understanding of med tech sales, territory management, and customer relationship management.
  • Experience calling on hospital and ambulatory surgery centers (ASC).
  • Experience working in a challenging reimbursement environment.
  • Experience with practice development working with the physicians to educate their referral base.
  • Able to travel up to 25%.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend and lift to complete the basic functions of the role. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job involve normal vision.

Product Manager III, International Strategy

The WATCHMAN International Strategy Product Manager will be responsible for driving commercial strategy for the WATCHMAN Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) therapy internationally. They will need to develop an understanding of current and future market dynamics and the competitive landscape across multiple geographies. The role will require the gathering business inputs, identifying commercial opportunities, partnering with R&D on product development and therapy optimization, as well as supporting ongoing marketing activities. They will need to work closely with a cross-functional team (Global Marketing team, Supply Chain, R&D, Project Management, Regulatory, Clinical, and others). They will need to be able to manage multiple commercial and development projects in parallel while being able to operate independently with minimal supervision. They will also need to identify any key gaps in the portfolio and recommend internal development pathways or external partnerships to address those gaps.

The international strategy Product Manager will represent the broader global WATCHMAN team when interacting with physicians at Advisory Boards, Innovation Center visits, tradeshows, and other KOL meetings. They will need to develop product forecasts and launch plans, while also identifying market research needs across various international geographies. They will be responsible for content creation, content delivery, and turning feedback into action plans.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing international marketing and strategy input to for WATCHMAN product cadence over next five+ years.
  • Conduct research and utilize data and insights to inform product and commercial strategies.
  • Quantify business objectives and customer needs to inform a high-level product vision and strategic roadmap that delivers value to BSC and customers alike.
  • Measure success of products and programs to determine effectiveness and ongoing marketing activities.
  • Effectively communicate status and outcomes of ongoing work with senior leadership stakeholders, while providing thoughtful and strategic recommendations.
  • Creation and implementation of global product and clinical strategies designed to support LAAC market growth and WATCHMAN’s competitive advantage across international markets
  • Identification of non-product strategies (e.g. clinical studies, digital solutions) to support product pipeline
  • Collaborating with marketing team and cross-functional team members to ensure future development plans will deliver overall revenue and profit objectives
  • Engage key customers through in-person visits, focus groups, and educational programs to build relationships, share knowledge, develop insights and inform strategic decisions.
  • Support WATCHMAN marketing and other functions with annual planning & budgeting

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or healthcare-related field
  • 5+ years of successful related business experience, medical device preferred
  • 3+ years of product management and strategic commercialization experience
  • Ability to travel 20% – 30%, including domestic and international

Supplier Engineer III – SFMD

As part of the Sourced Finished Medical Device (SFMD) team, the Supplier Engineer is responsible for supporting the daily operations of assigned key SFMD suppliers, while driving improvements to ensure product quality and delivery.  The incumbent will support the design, development, and qualification/validation strategies as well as manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to meet manufacturing goals.  NOTE: This is a hybrid position, which will require you to work onsite 3 days per week

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing projects for sustaining and new production equipment, process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and new product onboarding
  • Collaborating with SFMD suppliers on current products and new product development activities including process development, validation, capacity analysis and capability studies; conduct process risk reviews
  • Reviewing and managing supplier change requests through the Supplier Change Impact Assessment (SCIA); drive change notice and approval processes
  • Troubleshooting issues related to the designs, materials or processes of new and existing products
  • Analyzing test results to provide summarized reports and documentation on findings; make recommendations to the technical teams and leadership
  • Leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as R&D and process development to ensure project success; support value improvement projects (VIP)
  • Supporting qualification activities through the design and coordination of engineering tests and experiments including DOE; review and provide feedback on SFMD supplier IQ/OQ/PQ, test method validations, and PFMEA
  • Providing onsite training and guidance to SFMD supplier operators and technicians as needed

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline
  • Minimum 3yrs of experience with manufacturing and/or process development
  • Experience working in medical device or similarly regulated industry
  • Strong technical acumen and decision-making skills; ability to solve problems and implement solutions
  • Experience leading and influencing internal and external teams to drive results
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projects and tasks
  • Ability to travel 5% (globally)

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with supply chain and/or supplier relationship management
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels
  • Strong Good Documentation Practice experience
