Assist plant operations personnel with the drilling, handling, and movement of petroleum coke from the El Segundo Refinery. Performs general cleanup duties and other work as directed.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Safe and efficient operation of pumps, heavy impact drivers, large overhead cranes, large Coke movement belt transfer system and other specialized equipment associated with Refinery De-Coking process, including hydraulic and air driven equipment
- Computer related entry for lab and equipment monitoring, turnovers and routine duties
- Routine maintenance of related refinery equipment
- Reading, comprehension, communication and following all safety and environmental rules and regulations
- Physical and Environmental Demands: The Coke Handler Trainee will work in an environment that requires the following abilities:
- Rotating shifts (scheduled 12 hour shifts) including weekends and holidays. Occasional overtime is required.
- Routine carrying and lifting 50 lbs, pushing and pulling force of 100 lbs.
- Job duties can involve physical situations which include standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders/or stairs, maintaining balance. Situations can involve confined spaces, heights up to 250 feet, and noise over 85 decibels. Occasionally, duties involve wearing respirator breathing apparatus.
- Job duties are indoor /outdoor. Outdoor conditions can vary in temperature and humidity.
- The following materials may be present in work area and environment: Hydrogen vapors and liquids, hydrogen sulfide, coke dust, ammonia, benzene, petroleum lubricants, gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, ETP sludge, waste water, sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, methanol, MTBE and crude oil.
Required Qualifications

- Must pass a pre-employment medical and physical examination, drug screen and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with liquids and gas processing equipment and procedures
- Prior Refinery, chemical, steam boiler, power generation, brewery construction or similar work experience
- Prior experience with conveyors, pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems
- Mechanical and computer skills a plus

Terminal Operator
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- May coordinate with Supply Schedulers, Suppliers, and transporters for all products.
- Performs inspections and maintenance to ensure proper operation, and environmental integrity. Schedule, direct and/or perform maintenance activities as needed.
- Execute preventative maintenance plan.
- Perform activities in the tank yard and Tank Truck Loading Rack (TTLR) areas. For Example: Gauging Tanks, switching tanks serving TTLR, performing daily inspections and performing intra-terminal product movements.
- Maintain terminal records as directed. For example: Stock Control, Waste/regulatory and Additive inventory
- Perform Inventory Reconciliation
- Assure compliance with all operating procedures, operating requirements, and Safe Work Practices by anyone who comes into the facility.
- Assist Head Terminal Operator in training contractors on applicable SWP’s as directed.
- Train and certify new drivers on loading operations as directed.
- Actively support Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices, maintaining a safe working environment, participating in OE System Processes, and being prepared to respond to any type of incident.
Perform various terminal tasks that may come up in the course and scope of a Terminal Operator’s job.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Valid TWIC card or ability to obtain a TWIC card.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance repairs (mechanically inclined).
- Able to work rotating shifts, on-call shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to support terminal operations, and respond to emergency situations when they arise.
- Able to operate sophisticated fuel automation and computer systems.
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the job including climbing stairs and working on top of product storage tanks over 20 feet high and lift 30-35 pounds.
- Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and an aptitude for learning new CBT packages.

- Plant/Terminal Operator Experience – 2 years required.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work with minimal supervision.

Pipeline Operator
Pipeline Operators are proficient in operating or measurement work processes required for the safe, accurate and efficient operation of assigned pipeline systems. They coordinate their own work and work with other team members or contractors in performing daily operations work processes.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Operate specific pipeline systems and/or facilities (i.e. monitoring pressures, temperatures and flow rates, and making appropriate operational changes).
- Evaluate alarm conditions as they occur and determine the proper course of action to correct the alarm condition. Responsible for performing Operator Routine Duties. Gauge and sample tanks or witness and verify gauging performed by customers.
- Monitor and coordinate commodity movements, commodity interfaces, gauging times and the launching and receiving of pigs and scrapers with system controllers and customer contacts at receipt and delivery points.
- Make valve line-up and manifold changes. Monitor sample pots, adjust sample rates, draw samples and perform laboratory tests on samples.
- Perform stock transfers between tanks, change orifice plates and blinds. Calculate line-fills, displacements and other volumes.
- Investigate and resolve over/short situations and balance system inventories.
- Perform tank gauging and grind outs on oil to check for quality.
- Proficient in use of ticket management system.
- Read and record custody meters or witness and verify readings taken by customers.
- Prepare run tickets and associated paperwork to ensure accurate custody transfer of deliveries and receipts.
- Maintain accurate custody transfer records and reports, including maintenance of appropriate security seals.
- Schedule, coordinate and perform meter proving of custody transfer meters and control meters. Maintain meter factor trend data and perform and/or coordinate measurement equipment calibrations. Respond to inquiries regarding leaks, line locations and encroachments and take appropriate action to rectify
- May lead sub-teams at the Field Team level.
- Training of truck drivers in offloading procedures.
- May coordinate the inspection, performance and documentation of facilities compliance checks, and track compliance checklists.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license with a history of safe driving practices.
- Minimum of 3 year of experience in oil & gas facility operations or related
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices.
- Physical ability to perform routine maintenance will be required. Regular bending, lifting up to (25 Pounds) without assistance and approximately (100) pounds with assistance) crouching, pulling and kneeling to check equipment and gauges and perform repairs
- Ability to work rotating shift to include holidays, weekends, and night shifts with on-call duties
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of crude oil plant operations and machinery strongly preferred
- Knowledge of safety protocols applicable to gas plant preferred. Good electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Thorough knowledge of PSM to include the MOC and PHA processes.
- Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), and an aptitude for learning new software packages.
- Communicates in a clear, concise, understandable manner, both orally and in writing. Listens carefully and asks questions.
Helicopter Pilot
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Conducts prescribed preflight inspection of aircraft prior to commencing flight operations; prepares flight plans and schedules for each trip.
- Determines that the aircraft is functioning properly, that weather, loading and fuel are within prescribed safe operating limits and is solely responsible for deciding that each flight can be made safely.
- Pilots the helicopter, conducting necessary navigation, radio contacts and weather checks and sees to passenger’s needs.
- Keeps currently and thoroughly informed of mechanical functions, capacities and critical performance characteristics of the aircraft and of modifications thereto together with their effect on capacities and performance characteristics.
- Reports mechanical malfunctions and unusual changes in flight performance or characteristics.
- Inspects Company-owned flight decks and landing facilities in areas to which assigned and reports obstructions or hazards potentially endangering safety of helicopter operations to the Senior Pilot with recommendations to correct the situation.
- As assigned, participates in the survey of possible locations for new heliport locations, recommending most feasible site.
- Completes required forms, logs and flight manuals covering flight operations.
- Sees that the aircraft is properly secured at conclusion of flight operations.
- Maintains required FAA licenses and ratings.
- Observes and reports to the Lead or Senior Pilot in the operating area any noted irregularity in the Company’s operations which would adversely affect the Company’s position on maintaining the desired ecology.
- Coordinates passenger briefings, monitors, fuel state and quality of offshore fuel installations.
Required Qualifications
- All pilots shall possess a Commercial Pilot Certificate with an instrument rating or an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- The certificate must be properly endorsed for category, class, and type rating for the aircraft to be operated.
- New hire pilots shall have a minimum of 1,500 hours of helicopter total time, 1,000 hours of helicopter turbine time and 500 hours of Gulf of Mexico experience or offshore operations.
- All personnel are required to have an adequate level of fluency in English to perform their duties.
- Candidate must be willing to work on a Rotational schedule. 7 Days on, 7 days off.
- Must have a Class 1 FAA medical.
