Dental Provider Contracting Lead Analyst – Cigna Healthcare – Remote

This role will be work at home and will support our national dental networks and Client Management teams.

  • Provides advanced professional input to complex Provider Network Strategy assignments/projects for existing and prospective clients.
  • Analyzes and reviews reporting and projects impact of network recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Develops and monitors dental and vision network performance guarantees. Coordinates with Provider Contracting, Provider Relations and Provider Service areas to drive execution on performance guarantees (PG).  Monitor and track progress of PGs, including report outs to account and sales teams.
  • Prepares responses for Network RFP questions. Prepare materials and make presentations to existing and prospective clients and or market sales teams.
  • Responds to the complex service issues and inquiries, identifying resources for resolution of client network issues.  Handle non-routine problems ensuring client satisfaction with products and service.
  • Support provider recruitment or retention nationally via field work as needed.
  • Support and provide direction to more junior professionals.
  • Works autonomously, only requiring “expert” level technical support from others. Exercises judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures.

  Responsibilities:

  • Manage a territory acting as a liaison between account management teams and provider network teams.
  • Ability to gather critical information, swiftly assess type of inquiry and the level of complexity and determine to process or direct the work to the appropriate teams for resolution for escalated issues.
  • Interact professionally with clear, effective communication and set the appropriate expectations on timeline of deliverables.  Provide updates to clients, matrix partners, and/or contracted providers on status and resolution.
  • Leverage internal resources and use independent judgement and discretion to resolve complex client inquiries and solve non-routine problems, which ensure client satisfaction with products and services.
  • Develop and maintain effective business partnerships to ensure service issues are managed proactively; communicated clearly, accurately, and effectively with all business partners.
  • Coordinate with internal business partners to ensure provider and member needs are met and potential problems are averted.
  • Effectively drive teams for improved provider experience, both for contracted and prospective dentists.
  • Support teams to meet overall dental earnings targets.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with dental DHMO and PPO provider facing roles required. Working knowledge of dental insurance products.
  • 5+ years of experience in provider/client/customer service insurance environment strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task, manage and resolve issues with a take charge attitude to support operational needs
  • Ability to navigate and develop relationships with all internal business partners and contracted providers
  • Demonstrate active listening, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills

OVERVIEW:

 

Reporting to the Vice President, Regional Growth Leader, this role will function as a key member of the sales leadership team and be responsible for driving a profitable market focused growth strategy and implementing effective management processes across both new and existing sales channels within the New York and New Jersey Region, Middle Market Segment- 500 – 3000.  In alignment with UW market leadership, the GM & Market Growth leader will be committed to direct top and bottom line growth and portfolio management at a market-level, specifically focused on new and existing business growth and retention within the 500-3000 buyer group.  This leader will be regarded as the ‘face of Cigna’ to clients and producers in the local market and will oversee new and existing business sales teams in the overall delivery and execution of the market growth strategy.  This role will collaborate with key segment and matrix partners to drive top and bottom-line growth, including the advancement of market goals for customer growth, account retention and rate execution.

 

Achievements are and will be largely dependent on successful partnership with multiple internal and external partners inclusive of legislators, public and private employer groups, hospitals, physicians, institutions, affinity partners, as well as brokers, producers and consulting firms.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

– Provides management oversight of all day-to-day sales distribution activities within the market and responsible for implementing and executing effective management processes across both new and existing business sales channels that drive market-focused growth; must have working experience and employ a collaborative leadership approach across multiple functions inclusive of distribution, contracting, underwriting and pricing, marketing, product, service and clinical.

– In partnership with the Regional Growth Leader, develops and executes a local market growth strategy and business plan that services both the Enterprise and Middle Market Segment overall growth and earning plan goals; maximizes the local market value proposition through partnership across all segment leaders and aligned matrix partners; drives plan results that maximize profitability, membership growth, account retention as well as increased market share.

– Be an established and visible leader in the market, balancing distribution and civic obligations, with priority focus and commitment towards achieving top and bottom line growth (i.e., “hitting the metrics”).

– Represents Cigna in the community; develops and maintains strong external relationships with consulting houses, key customer accounts, health care professionals/delivery systems and civic organizations; has the ability to effectively handle media and/or public relations inquiries, as needed.

– Builds collaborative relationships across the Enterprise to achieve corporate, financial and market objectives while providing the very best in products and customer service; maintains strong external relationships with key broker and consulting firms in addition to key clients and producers across other market to ensure maximum value creation is achieved across and within the buyer group.

– Ensures market level management processes and best practices are in place and being followed by sales management in order to drive accountability and results across all new and existing business teams in order to meet and exceed market plan, membership and earnings goals.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

– Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field equivalent experience. Master’s and/or MBA degree preferred, but not required.

– Minimum 8-15+ years in a strategic and leadership role in a service, sales, healthcare, health plan and/or broker/consulting environment; 7-10+ years leading and managing sales team(s) at a buyer group and/or market level.

Provider Contracting Representative – Cigna Healthcare – Remote

This production role is an entry-level position in the Dental Network Management team. Role delivers straightforward administrative and/or other basic business services supporting the growth and retention of our provider network to support client strategies and performance guarantees.  Receives requests to review and analyze data, summarize reports, create new records in activity tracking systems and verify data for internal and external reporting.  Role could also include some monitoring of in progress network performance guarantees and escalating to more senior staff when there is a need as well as assisting with provider enrollment when necessary.  Requires knowledge of company/operating processes and procedures; works to clearly defined procedures under close supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 years experience in provider/client/customer service insurance environment

Middle Market Client Experience Consultant; Walnut Creek, CA -OR- Irvine, CA – Hybrid – Cigna Healthcare

The Client Experience Coordinator partners with the Middle Market Client Managers to drive retention and growth by helping clients optimize the value they realize from Cigna’s products and services. They do this through execution and coordination of activities in support of client operational, health & wellness and service needs.

 

Essential Functions & Scope of Role:

  • Support Middle Market Client Manager’s strategic selling approach that best demonstrates Cigna Healthcare’s value
  • Develop/Maintain a ‘Trusted Partner’ relationship with Client Managers
  • Fully understands client needs, develops and executes (in conjunction with internal partners) on actions that addresses the client issues
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Cigna products/solutions/services across all product lines (Dental, Behavioral, Pharmacy, Medical, Clinical, and Wellness & Incentives)
  • Effectively leverage Expert Advisors (e.g. Client Service Executive, Implementation Manager, Strategic Wellbeing Advisors and others) to deliver on client expectations
