Get to know our hiring process for customer service roles
Here’s what to expect from the moment you click “Apply” to your first day at Amazon.
Job application
The first stage of the online application process consists of a series of general questions and screening questions. You’ll need to create a profile to start your application for the role. If you have applied for a role with Amazon before, don’t forget to log back in to your existing profile. Your information will be saved from the last time you applied.
Work assessment
Amazon uses online assessments as one way to help us get to know you better, and we design them to measure key characteristics required for success in a role. As part of your application, you will be required to respond to statements and complete a series of virtual tasks which involve making decisions based on our Leadership Principles. These usually take approximately one hour to complete. We recommend you set aside this time in a quiet location with headphones, and use your laptop or desktop to optimize the experience.
The Customer Service recruiting team uses HirePro, an approved Amazon service platform, to authenticate applicants’ identity during the hiring Process. By participating in this recruitment process, you consent to Amazon, any entity in the Amazon group of companies, and/or any relevant third parties, processing your personal information for purposes relating to the recruitment process.
Online pre-hire orientation
If your application is successful, you will be invited to pre-hire orientation stage. This is an opportunity to learn more about the role and find answers to questions to might have. Depending on the role you’re applying to, this is a mandatory step to proceed with your application.
Day 1 – Your First Day at Amazon
On Day 1 you will be officially welcomed and inducted into the Customer Service team, either virtually or on-site, depending on the role you joined. In the meantime, we will contact you to confirm your start date and the final steps required for your first day with us, including background checks, document verification (e.g. passport) and setting up of equipment (if working from home).
Welcome to the Amazon Team! We’re happy to have you.
