Meet the team:

Global Product Design (GPD) at Dexcom is a multi-disciplinary team of UX/UI, content, labeling, industrial design and design operations professionals dedicated to building Clinical and Consumer products including G-Series, D-Series and Stelo. We collaborate closely product management and engineering to create highly usable, beautiful products that impact millions of people around the globe.  We are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. The Design Operations team within GPD is responsible for the orchestration of people, process and tools focused on business outcomes. Design Operations is a new team at Dexcom and this role requires applicants to have direct experience working as a Design Ops program manager, UX Program Manager or Design Producer.

  • You partner with the Director of Design Operations and Design Operations colleagues to develop scalable processes to drive efficiency and integration across the team.
  • You support organizational initiatives like implementing design system components and supporting the transition to Figma and Jira.

  • Key activities include establishing and maintaining internal processes, managing project scope, overseeing schedules and ensuring that your designers can focus on the most impactful initiatives to deliver on business goals.
  • You will create productive partnerships with product management, user research and engineering to create innovative solutions across multiple workstreams.
  • Your expertise in establishing new tools and systems will drive the change needed to scale GPD to meet growing business needs including documenting design decisions, UX artifacts and deliverables.

Where you come in:

  • As the Director of Sensor development, you will lead the development and implementation of improvements on Dexcom’s current glucose sensing product platform as well as lead the development and introduction of novel continuous sensing products expanding Dexcom’s portfolio of connected health solutions.
  • You will play a vital role in developing strategic sensor roadmaps, managing and mentoring a world-class talented team of scientists and engineers, and delivering robust product design solutions to the business and customers we serve.

  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams focused on sensor product development.  Preferably amperometric, voltammetric, and/or potentiometric biosensing applications
  • Industry-leading expertise in sensor technologies; including latest measurement techniques, state of the art fabrication methods, integration in a measurement system, and functional requirements and characterization best practices. Experience with design, manufacturing, and clinical testing of medical devices preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to drive product development and influence commercial product strategy. Track record of successful development and commercialization of sensor systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple goals and priorities, allocation of resources and staff management, and keeping deliverables on track to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in leading a technical team of scientists and engineers. Ability to oversee complex projects, manage through risk, and navigate design tradeoffs and uncertainty.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills – passion for motivating and inspiring others

Reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager, this role plays a critical part in production planning and operations management. Their primary responsibility is to create and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensuring that production aligns with demand, capacity, and resource availability.

 

In this position, you will lead the development, consolidation, communication, and execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS), enabling the successful delivery of Dexcom’s commercial and operational goals while optimizing cost, mitigating risks, and enhancing product lifecycle management.

  • Develop, manage, and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align production output with forecasted demand, capacity, and resource availability.
  • Lead initiatives in product lifecycle and SKU configuration management, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives for cost-saving, excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory mitigation, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive scenario planning for evolving business needs, focusing on End of Life planning given customer, market, and supply priorities.
  • Act as a strategic liaison among Sales Operations, Master Data Management (MDM), Program Management Office (PMO), Manufacturing, and regional planning teams to align schedules with market demands and organizational goals.
  • Partner with global teams to implement and communicate change management strategies, ensuring cross-functional readiness and adherence to timelines.
  • Escalate risks associated with SKU prioritization or product changes and coordinate mitigation strategies to meet delivery milestones.
  • Analyze demand data, supply targets, and margin goals to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, including site-specific builds and COGS optimization.
  • Develop policies for constraint-based planning, rough-cut capacity analysis, safety stock levels, and time fence implementation to enhance schedule accuracy and reduce risk.

 

What makes you successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Experience in Global supply planning and forecasting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
  • Experienced with ERP/MRP systems
  • Experience in the medical device or CPG industry
  • Knowledge of configuration management, demand &supply planning and contract manufacturing
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers and distribution networks a plus
