Associate Operations Manager

As an Associate Operations Manager, this individual, will spend a significant amount of time rotating through job roles in both Transportation and Warehouse to learn the key components of the operations side of Dot and provide support/ leadership as needed in various roles. As the individual gains experience in this role, they will be expected to increase their impact to the company through their activity and the activity of those they work with. This position is designed to provide upward mobility, assuming availability, within 12-18 months.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work with individuals across departments to develop knowledge of warehouse and transportation
  • Gather, measure, and interpret data critical to improving processes within the warehouse and transportation
  • Participate in meetings with warehouse, transportation, replenishment, and outside distribution centers to enhance knowledge of the processes and develop relationships necessary to collaborate effectively.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Dot Foods or Dot Transportation experience
  • Effective verbal & communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong leadership, planning & organizational skills

ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Travel: Occasional overnight travel to other company facilities or outside facilities for training. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
  • Working Environment: Ability to work in all temperature conditions, from 0˚F to 100˚F
  • Schedule: Ability to work flexible hours (weekend, night shift and on-call) based upon facility needs.

Staff Accountant

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assist in accurately processing weekly payroll, manage wage garnishments, paycard programs, and termination-related procedures, while ensuring compliance across U.S. and Canadian operations.
  • Manage and optimize the payroll and timekeeping systems, including schedule maintenance, timeclock functionality, and payroll data integrity.
  • Conduct audits, monitor payroll accuracy, reconcile W-2s and payroll taxes, and maintain comprehensive records to support compliance and reporting needs.
  • Train new employees and managers on time and attendance systems and support the onboarding of new payroll staff.
  • Develop and document streamlined payroll procedures, applying lean methodologies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
  • Design and maintain databases to support payroll reporting, bonus program tracking, and benefit data updates.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent Dot Foods experience.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and planning skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Access programs.

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

  • Previous experience in payroll or accounting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Warehouse Shift Manager

As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you provide hands-on leadership on the warehouse floor by training, monitoring, and evaluating assigned personnel and actively lead the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company culture, service, and cost objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Ensures all employees are trained and developed to meet safety and productivity standards.
  • Plans inbound and outbound product flow and labor needs to meet daily deadlines.
  • Communicates, coordinates, and supports all policies and procedures within the warehouse and company.
  • Achieve warehouse cost metrics and actively seek to develop cost-reduction strategies.
  • Applies continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or general equivalent degree
  • Effective organizational, analytical, and planning skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pass a standard physical abilities test.

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent Dot experience
  • Previous successful leadership experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Working knowledge of distribution or warehouse processes or systems

ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Supervision: Warehouse Lead Staff, and Warehouse Floor Personnel
  • Schedule: Full Time – Thursday-Saturday
  • 5:30PM – 6:00AM (Some off-hours for on or off-site meetings)
  • Environment: Working in temperature ranges from 0˚F to 70˚F
  • Physical Requirements: Extensive standing, walking, and lifting; including operation of warehouse equipment.
  • Travel: Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by car, plane, or train
  • Certification – Will obtain electric pallet jack and narrow aisle licenses and forklift certifications during initial training phase.
