Job Summary:

Role Overview

Express and Logistics Industry in India is going through a rapid change, and to adapt to the changes and further strengthen its position as the most preferred courier service, DTDC is going through a transformation that will allow it to become even better, smarter, and faster. In our Industry, the transformation is largely composed of technological advancement, and therefore, we need smart, solution-oriented, and hardworking Managers to help us reach our goals.

Operation Manager has the overall responsibility for planning and execution of entire Air & Surface Operations of the Region & implementation of Operations SOPs. Daily responsibility included activities like management of incoming consignment to load connection directly to Airways, securitization of all Vendor bills & process for payment & Surface management at Zonal Level. Data analysis on total consignment delivered, booking report, revenue status and resolution of major complaint & queries.

Responsibilities

– Time Management to work with multiple branches and managers across a large Zone, driving many miles to coordinate Branch/Franchisee visits and reviews

– Improve Zonal processes, policies, and practices so as to achieve company’s goals and ensure regional stores adhere to company-wide laid down rules and guidelines

– Excellent Leadership skills to keep their employees motivated, resolve conflicts and make hard decisions

– Coordinate, monitor, and manage various Franchisees/branches within a particular geographic region

– Good Decision making skills/ability that affect the company

– Help improve the efficiency of support services like communication channels and IT; and also ensure free flowing communication amongst the stakeholders

– Work hand-in- hand with top management (serving as a link between them and the individual Branch) in order to develop and implement new plans/ideas that will enhance the operations of the company at large

– Assist in the recruitment, establish work schedules and evaluate regional performance at the end of a given period

– Responsible for overall performance of all first mile and last mile

– Conduct and attend Zonal / regional meetings for assigned regions

– Ability to Analyze and think strategically

– Reviews service KPIs and addresses metrics that are not meeting targets

– Responsible for all aspects of financial oversight for the Zone
