Job Description

Rate of Pay and Benefits:

Tool and Die Makers are paid a top hourly base rate of $43.800, plus applicable shift, overtime, and holiday premiums.  The starting rate for this position is $43.600 with pay increases to the top rate upon completion of three consecutive months of employment.

Qualifications

Candidates must have completed a bona fide apprenticeship, or have 8 years of previous experience, or have a combination of previous work experience and training equivalent to a bona fide apprenticeship program in the trade.

  • Extensive die maintenance such as rebuilding die sections, retiming pads and forms and engineering changes on large body class A dies; set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders to cut, bore, grind or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.  Read process sheets, PM instructions, work orders.  Identify to root cause die downtime with resolutions. Past experience with launching and try-out of large body dies required.

Successful completion of a job interview, pre-employment drug screen and physical are required.  Drug panel does not include THC.

Job Description

The hourly rated positions available at Ford Motor Company manufacturing or warehousing facilities are for vehicle or vehicle component assembly.  The production worker is required to assemble the vehicle or component part using the materials and tools provided in a predefined order and process. These positions may require the selection, manipulation, attachment of parts onto the vehicle or component using power or hand tools, hoists, or other equipment and machinery.

Temporary Full-Time employees receive a generous benefits package.  Temporary Full-Time employees convert to full-time regular employee status upon completion of nine months of continuous service.
