Mechanical Journeyperson (Toolmaker) – Orion Assembly
General Motors has a need for qualified Mechanical Journeypersons (Toolmakers). You will work under minimal supervision with a high level of independent judgement and problem solving. You should be flexible enough to take on and tackle multiple job assignments in a shift.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Role
The Vehicle Data Engineering team is seeking an accomplished professional with a proven track record of building large scale data platforms on cloud environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in high throughput data streaming platforms, data storage / file system architectures, data security and governance, as well as enabling data consumption patterns for data scientists and business users.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and development of migrating GMs on prem vehicle data systems to cloud environments
- Design data solutions around current and future data security and privacy requirements
- Work with data engineers and data scientists to create (or leverage an existing) MLOps framework that allows seamless deployment, scaling, maintenance, and monitoring of ML Models
