Position Summary

Reports to the Senior Manager, In-Flight Operations and is responsible for providing leadership, direction and support to Flight Attendants to drive increased performance and a high level of engagement.

This position has an estimated duration of 10 months.  Note that no relocation assistance is available for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to Senior Manager, In-Flight Operations
  • Manages on board service and regulatory compliance, ensuring standards are followed as directed by our brand promise and regulatory agencies.
  •  Conduct daily pre-flight briefings; Deliver business information and inspire/motivate Flight Attendants to provide world class service in alignment without company values
  • Concourses (Hub turns / Neighbor Island presence / North America and International Flights) to provide Flight Attendant support and ensure policy compliance
  • Implement assigned initiatives (baggage issues / delays, etc.)
  • Responsible for the application of the DOT random Drug Testing process
  • Handles In-Flight delays and irregular operations
  • Represents In-Flight on all Ops Calls
  • Represent In-Flight in Gate actions (medical / law enforcement, etc.) Supporting impacted Flight Attendant’s
  • Manage In-Flight security issues (KCM / AOA, etc.)
  • Coordinate Flight Attendant impact during delays, gate changes and irregular operations to achieve on-time departures and minimize delays attributed to In-Flight
  • Liaison between In-Flight, Catering, and Customer Service departments to ensure highest quality of passenger service
  • Respond to Flight Attendant requests for assistance at departure gates during boarding process and flight arrivals
  • Actively engage Flight Attendants, increase engagement, promote our brand promise and improve safety compliance (reducing On the Job Injury (OJI) occurrences)
  • Perform on-board observation flights (or similar program) with Flight Attendants as needed
  • Responsible for all activities as assigned
  • Ensure Company’s uniform policy is adhered to at all times.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • 2 years of management or equivalent Airport Operations or In-Flight experience
  • Working knowledge of federal and state leave employment laws and regulations
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Able to professionally handle multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
  • Must be able to investigate incidents and discipline with dignity
  • Must obtain a Passport, SIDA badge and Ramp License
  • Able to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with Flight Attendants at the highest professional level

Analyst, Customer Contacts – Limited Term

This position has an estimated duration of 6-12 months.  Note that no relocation assistance is available for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain outsourced contact center vendor’s operational performance and workforce functions to ensure optimal service and ROI, while delivering an outstanding guest experience
    • Analyze performance metrics (AHT, FCR, IR, Cost per Contact, etc.) and customer satisfaction data (NPS, OSAT, etc.) to identify agent efficiency, process improvement, guest experience, and cost savings opportunities
    • Develop accurate call/contact forecast models
      • Work with Reservations Specialists, and other areas of the business, to understand and evaluate the impact of sales seasonality, fleet and schedule changes, upcoming business initiatives, initial and recurrent training needs, company-wide or destination-specific special events, etc. on long and short-term workforce needs
    • Review programmed logic and assumptions of the call routing and workforce staffing tools
    • Identify potential cost reduction opportunities without sacrificing the overall guest experience
  • Manage the monthly budget review process
    • Work with management to support development of the annual Reservations budget
    • Review vendor invoices for accuracy against performance targets and corresponding financial awards/penalties
    • Prepare monthly report on expenses compared to budget, as well as month-to-date report of labor and communication costs
    • Research any variances against budget
  • Lead or support the development of business cases in support of implementation of new processes and technologies design to improve operational efficiency and the guest experience
  • Work with outsourced contact center operations to produce ad hoc reports as requested

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, or another quantitative field
  • 2 years of experience in an analytical role
  • Proficient analytical skills, including information gathering, problem solving, financial modeling, and business case development
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Full-Time is 8 hours per shift. Based on operational need, you may need to report to work early and/or work beyond your scheduled end time.

The airport is busiest in the middle of the day (typically 9am – 4pm). Nearly all new hires are awarded shifts during this timeframe. If you have a full-time job during the day, please consider this before applying.

  • The Ramp Agent position is a very physical position, working outside in the elements.
  • You will be lifting 70 lbs. throughout your shift (up to 200 lbs., buddy lift), working in confined spaces on your knees/elbows (belly of an aircraft, which can be nearly 100 degrees, loading/offloading baggage), lifting baggage overhead frequently (weighing 70+ lbs.), operating heavy machinery near the aircraft, driving tugs, and more.
  • If hired, you will be required to work as a Ramp Agent for one year before being eligible to apply for other positions within Hawaiian Airlines.
