Not anly for the new teal being developed but also supporting existent Carbon based components being used by different teams within IBM.
We need a flexible developer with a rounded set of skills to be able to cover different areas and not only Front end develorment.

As an IBM Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern, you’ll work collaboratively, driving work that addresses a strategic business challenge. In addition to your project work, the internship includes educational, networking, and social activities. Between project work and intern programming, you’ll get to touch a variety of areas within the business. This is a highly visible intern program with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer.

  • Support the Global SkillsBuild Student Developer Community Manager to build, manage, and nurture communities related to academia in the USA including a community of student ambassadors who drive engagement within college campuses
  • Help select, communicate, onboard, and run community kick-off activities, in collaboration with the IBM US CSR Team.
  • Analyze engagement metrics and feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

This role will be based in Raleigh, NC.

You will work in a Kubernetes based micro services environment to support our leading edge cloud services.

Entry Level – Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist at IBM, you will help transform our clients’ data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development. Whether it’s investigating patient trends or weather patterns, you will work to solve real world problems for the industries transforming how we live.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Associate Data Scientist at IBM, you will work to solve business problems using leading-edge and open-source tools such as Python, R, and TensorFlow, combined with IBM tools and our AI application suites. You will prepare, analyze, and understand data to deliver insight, predict emerging trends, and provide recommendations to stakeholders. In your role, you may be responsible for:
• Implementing and validating predictive and prescriptive models, creating and maintaining statistical models with a focus on big data and incorporating machine learning techniques in your projects
• Writing programs to cleanse and integrate data in an efficient and reusable manner
• Working in an Agile, collaborative environment, partnering with other data scientists, engineers, consultants, and database administrators of all backgrounds and disciplines to bring analytical rigor and statistical methods to the challenges of predicting behaviors
• Communicating with internal and external clients to understand and define business needs and appropriate modeling techniques to provide analytical solutions
• Evaluating modeling results and communicating the results to technical and non-technical audiences

• You’re proficient in least one of the statistical programming languages, such as R, Python, Scala, SAS, SPSS, or Matlab

• You’re great at solving problems by looking at things differently, debugging, troubleshooting, and designing and implementing solutions to complex technical issues

 

  • US Citizenship required. Candidates must be able to get Federal clearance for client work.
  • Candidates must be local to or able to relocate to Buffalo, NY, and able to work onsite 3 days a week.
