Overview:
IKEA is seeking applications from qualified and desirous candidates for the post of Food Kitchen Production Manager at their Navi Mumbai, India location. In this role, you will optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) and create new food production rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The food kitchen production manager oversees quality assurance, investigating production or quality issues and recommending solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Ensures the implementation of global and national compliance standards to secure a safe environment for customers and co-workers.
- Secures the appropriate processes and procedures to secure food quality, food safety, excellence in operations, introduce vitality and reduce waste.
- Lead and manage the food supply chain for efficient ordering, production, and inventory levels to maximize profitability.
- Ensures the customer experience and exceeds customer expectations.
- Ensures that the retail foundations are in place to optimize quality perception.
- Ensure that the kitchen is in shape as new, that equipment is maintained, and that it is in full working order.
- Ensure high-quality customer experience standards in the customer and co-worker restaurant and optimized levels of commerciality are achieved by cooperating effectively with the commercial restaurant manager.
- Contribute to creating and implementing the unit business plan, the IKEA Retail Food business plan, and other action plans.
- Secure a lean, diverse, and high-performing team through building IKEA Food and IKEA competence and leadership and empowering co-workers to act on their initiative.
- Responsible for the implementation of global and national people and sustainability strategies.
What you’ll need to have
- 8 years of experience in leading multi-unit high-volume food service operations.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Post Graduate or Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
- HACCP certification is preferable
- Experience of managing, leading, and developing a team within a retail/food service environment and enjoy leading and developing a team
- Advanced knowledge of food production and food safety Experience from food service business From areas like events, catering, big social restaurant operations, or traditional restaurant business
- Good analytical skills and cost-consciousness
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
