Mainframe Console Operations

You will be joining mainframe Operations Center team working 24*7 responsible for end-to-end monitoring and change delivery for One of the Largest European Bank’s Mainframe infrastructures managed by Infosys Limited. Our goal is to ensure best in class service availability for Bank’s critical Mission platform and maintain service delivery KPIs and SLAs as agreed. We also strive for constant optimization and automation by driving value addition initiatives. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders (internal and external) across the bank and infrastructure teams and there is an opportunity to upskill your technical knowledge. - Performing system health checks.
- Perform IPL on all the LPARs during maintenance window and troubleshooting during the IPL.
- Replying to WTOR’s referring to process documents,
- Handling the hardware related issues, raising the service request with the h/w provider.

- Resolution of abends: restart, mark complete, cancel jobs, analyzing late jobs, etc through OPC scheduler.
- Making sure that the issues are resolved within the SLA.
- Participating in bridge calls and meetings and discussions regarding implementations and changes.
- Preparing reports and documents.
- Adhoc request to Schedule particular jobs, applications and periods in OPC.
- Taking care of each production batch job abends by following operator instructions and escalating to appropriate support group if required.
- Providing immediate Fixes and submitting the jobs. Primary skills (must have):
- Strong expertise with managing Mainframe infrastructure which involves console operations skills.
