Job Description

*This is a newly introduced shift offering at Intuitive, designed to expand our support coverage and provide greater flexibility for our customers and teams. The role requires up to 75% overnight travel, both within and outside your assigned territory, depending on evolving business needs.

Second Shift Traveler FSSEs will operate Monday through Friday, with working hours generally falling between 2:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. This shift supports late-day procedures, extended troubleshooting windows, and after-hours requests, ensuring seamless service across time zones.

Primary Function of Position

As a Field Service Support Engineer 2 at Intuitive, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, responsible for the installation, support, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all our products within your management designated area of responsibility. Your primary focus will be to ensure that all service agreements and warranty obligations are met and surpassed, while consistently exceeding customer expectations. This role demands expertise in electro-mechanical systems, acquired through specialized training, as well as exceptional customer service and communication skills. As a Field Service Support Engineer 2, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our valued customers, providing technical expertise, resolving issues, and delivering outstanding support. Essential Job Duties

  • Understand and comply with all department and company policies
  • Provide management with a quarterly review and assessment of your assigned area of responsibility
  • Proficiency in accurately documenting service activities, maintaining records, and providing comprehensive reports to stakeholders
  • Complete all administrative tasks in the required time frame
  • Provide technical support to end-users and other Intuitive employees
  • Conduct training sessions at Intuitive facilities, training centers, and hospitals
  • Perform various scheduled maintenance activities such as system inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates, system recalls, field actions, and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all Intuitive products and associated equipment in accordance with procedures and within designated timeframes
  • Coordinate and perform system and hardware delivery and installation
  • Competent in knowledge and implementation of O.R. protocol and HIPAA standards
  • Complete all administrative duties, which include, but not limited to; Spare parts inventory, Field Activity Reports, Return Material Authorizations, Expense Reports etc. within specified timeframes
  • Maintain all Intuitive-provided items, such as issued tools, calibrated tool sets, employee vehicles, laptops, iPads, and other company-owned assets
  • Support and collaborate with Intuitive teams to facilitate company goals; eg. Assist Sales teams with trade show support, assist Genesis teams with sterile reprocessing training, provide hospital contacts to other Intuitive teams, etc…
  • Provide feedback to HQ and take part in continuous improvement projects as required to improve processes and identify efficiencies
  • Complete all required or assigned training, including equipment training for all Intuitive products, Intuitive Surgical University classes, and professional development courses as directed by management
  • Manage all aspects of your assigned area of responsibility, including responding to customer needs, maintaining system install base configurations, customer contacts, establishing a rapport with assigned customer base, and providing support for customer training and events

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. and move wheeled objects up to 1,200 lbs.

  • Compliance with all necessary vaccination requirements as mandated by the vendor credentialing process

Preferred Skills and Experience 

  • Minimum 1-3 years of Field Service Experience preferred
  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent training/experience preferred
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems required
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • General computer skills
  • Comfortable working off hours with limited support
  • Excellent administrative and record keeping skills

Copywriter

As Intuitive grows, we’re adding a copywriter to our Brand and Creative team. Our multidisciplinary team oversees brand, creative design, multimedia production, content strategy, social media, and digital and web content.

The copywriter will focus on corporate and product initiatives, working as part of a cross-functional team on concepts, pitches, and launch deliverables, including narratives, video scripts, web and social copy, presentations, event theming, and campaign deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of producing effective multichannel content and a collaborative approach to partnering within a highly matrixed organization.

You will be able to translate complex technical and medical content into compelling copy for a variety of audiences and be comfortable articulating the ideas and concepts of your work to our stakeholders. You’ll be part of a six-person creative content team that includes a Director of Content and a team of copywriters and content strategists.

Essential Job Duties

  • • Efficiently craft compelling and persuasive content for campaigns, product launches, films, sales tools, and digital content that reflects Intuitive’s brand and editorial standards
  • • Interview subject matter experts and establish information architecture and flow for presentations, brochures, emails, and other marketing materials in collaboration with project stakeholders and the design team
  • • Hone messaging for specific audiences (physician, patient, administrator) using research to help define your strategy and channel activation
  • • Develop messaging hierarchies and narratives for corporate, product, and clinical marketing portfolios
  • • Work with product owners and regulatory teams to get content approved through our Veeva content review system
  • • Use data and research to evaluate content’s impact and push for continuous, measurable improvement
  • • Provide a strong and dependable point of view about copy quality within our department
  • • Harness our editorial guidelines to respond to content and style queries that arise from our network of stakeholders
  • • Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners in marketing, design, multimedia (film), web, social media, and project management functions

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 to 7+ years’ work experience as a marketing, advertising, agency copywriter required. Medical device experience is preferred.

Required Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge of AP style and Chicago Manual of Style required, familiarity with AMA Guidelines desired.

Clinical Sales Associate

Surgeons worldwide are changing the way surgery is performed by utilizing our robotic surgical device to enhance their surgical precision and greatly improve patient benefits. The focus of the Clinical Sales Associate (CSA) is to clinically sell to maximize the da Vinci® Surgical System’s utilization in the Augusta, GA territory.

Work with the Clinical Sales Manager to develop a sales strategy to drive robot utilization

Manage surgical teams through training sessions, OR integration and da Vinci® Surgery applications

  • Be a da Vinci® Surgery resource across all primary surgical specialties
  • Support regional Sales and Marketing events that create system awareness and procedure adoption
  • Develop a da Vinci® Surgery plan for each surgical team to ensure they can use the system unsupervised
  • Drive continuous expansion of the user base by working with KOLs
  • Drive the sales of instruments and accessories
  • Responsibly manage administrative tasks; sales activities, submission of expense reports, etc.

Job Description

Primary Function of Position

The Systems Engineer plays a key role in developing design input including Product Requirements, Architectural Requirements and Functional Requirements. You will collaborate with Product Management, ME, EE, CTE, software, SA, mechanical, IxD and Vision functions to compile the architectural description and system level requirements. This serves purposes of risk management, consistency, modularity, and interoperability.

Essential Job Duties

This position has responsibility and authority to:

  • Maintain and develop a deep understanding of user needs and business strategy
  • Maintain a broad, contemporary knowledge of electrical, connectivity and computing technologies and collaborate on product architectures that deliver performance, scalability and continuity
  • Develop and maintain architectural requirements that are aligned with product and corporate strategy, including features, interfaces, supply chain strategy, performance, cost and integration
  • Collaborate on integration projects such as ITP, room cabling, OR cameras, OR-resident Hub
  • Make major contributions to consistency in risk management and mentor other EEs in the role electrical functions play in it
  • Team with Multiport SW, EE, ME and CTE leaders plan the integration, management and error handling in multiport surgical systems including thermal management policy
  • Design Input: Performance hardware or system (not pure software) metrics that are key to safety and efficacy e.g. video latency, fault reaction details, and related areas
  • Design Input: Key interoperability requirements and interfaces, both internal and external.
  • Design Input: improve serviceability and FRU requirements
  • Contribute to user documentation such as IFU, readiness guides and related documents

Qualifications

Required Skill and Experience

  • 15-20 year of direct experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Software or Systems integration as applied to Robotically controlled medical devices.
  • Excellent understanding of Risk Management and Documentation practices for Mechatronic Medical Devices
  • Significant experience at the interface of Electrical, Software, Motion Control and Mechanical systems for Robotically Assisted Surgical devices
  • Significant understanding of the Design inputs and Design Outputs and their place in Product Development Process of Robotic Medical devices
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written and verbal that facilitate robust solutions
  • Demonstrated passion for product quality and continuous improvements across multiple functions.
