Engineering Technician 3

Referencing schematics, diagrams, and descriptions, you conduct testing and troubleshooting. You’ll perform fault isolation and assist in determining methods to remedy malfunctions. What You’ll Do

  • Perform testing, check-out, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, descriptions, layouts, or defined plans.
  • Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
  • Inspect materials, components, or products for surface defects and measure circuitry, using electronic test equipment, precision measuring instruments, microscope, and standard procedures.
  • Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, help in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
  • Support the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.
  • Use test and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
  • Collaborates with development engineers conducting engineering tests to collect design data or support in research efforts.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 2-4 years of related work experience.
  • Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
  • Proficient in utilizing computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work a shift schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree, Technical Certificate, Diploma or higher in a technical field.
  • Experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, bioengineering, metrology, lab operations, or related areas.

Modeling Engineer 3

The impact you’ll make

As a Modeling Engineer 3 in the WETS Product Group, your work will directly influence the design and performance of next-generation wafer/panel packaging. By applying advanced simulation techniques and engineering insight, you’ll help accelerate product development cycles, reduce costly iterations, and enable breakthrough innovations. Your contributions will shape critical design decisions, support global collaboration, and drive technical excellence across the organization. This is a high-visibility role where your expertise will make a measurable difference in the success of our products and the satisfaction of our customers.

What you’ll do

  • Build Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models of complex reactor systems to support product and process development.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams across the US, Europe, and Asia to simulate and solve multi-physics problems.
  • Simulate process conditions including structural, flow, thermal, chemical reactions, and mass transport to inform and optimize design decisions.
  • Recommend design solutions based on simulation results and engineering analysis.
  • Develop and execute design of experiments (DOE) and conduct lab experiments to validate simulation results using quantitative metrics.
  • Own the full lifecycle of computational modeling projects—from problem definition and model development to result evaluation, documentation, and design implementation support.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including thermo-mechanical, fatigue (high and low cycle), and non-linear analysis to ensure mechanical design integrity.
  • Generate technical reports, publications, and presentations; communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of Intellectual Property (IP) through innovative modeling and simulation work.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in CFD modeling and simulation of multi-physics systems.
  • Proficiency in commercial simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL Multiphysics, or similar.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus).
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and structural mechanics.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear technical reports and present complex findings to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a cross-functional, global team environment.

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience with chemical reaction modeling and mass transport phenomena.

Reliability Engineer 5

What you’ll do

  • Predict, measure and analyze the reliability of mechanical designs, process specification and software programs for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Determine reliability of in service tools based upon quantitative field measured failure data and less quantitative quality metrics as measured by Lam Research.
  • Use advance statistical, probabilistic and forecasting methods to best quantify reliability of overall system.
  • Work directly with mechanical, electrical, process and software engineers to define reliability improvement plans, advanced testing methods such as HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing), and HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening).
  • Develop methods that allow for correlation of these accelerated life testing methods to actual expected in service lives.
  • Data driven reliability through AI/ML methods, Utilizing DOE, Optimization, and statistical methods to create predictive reliability models.
  • Stochastic optimization tools to bridge between simulation and experiments.
  • Leading and conducting design reviews in cross functional and matrixed environments.
  • Determines reliability requirements of components and systems to achieve company, customer and any industry standard reliability objectives.
  • Perform analysis for reliability and tool availability, and help identify associated costs with deviation from targets
  • Advises design engineering on selection, application and test of mechanical, electrical and electronic components and systems based on reliability data.
  • Performs FMEA, Block modeling and assists in other development activities like DoE, statistical analysis, and test planning.
  • Recommends design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Develop RQP (reliability qualification plans) and test plans (ALT, HALT, etc.) with optimal sample size.

Who we’re looking for

  • Strong ability and understanding of AI/ML concepts and hybrid physics-based AI/ML modeling software.
  • Ability to work with a team to own and design concepts and drive design decisions.
  • Make recommendations for changes in the selection and application of components and systems. May propose changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability.

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of AI/ML algorithm development, python, or related programming languages.
  • Working knowledge of Reliability software, ReliaSoft, BlockSim, MADe, or other applicable software.
  • PhD in Reliability Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field with reliability and statistical emphasis.
  • Preferred knowledge of semiconductor metrology methods and employing sensors and hardware designs in a vacuum environments is a plus.

Product Engineer – Supplier Engineering Technology

In this role, you will directly contribute to the Supplier Engineering Technology group focused on Plastic Fabrication.

What you’ll do

  • Drive part development, production qualification, and implement quality plans at suppliers across the global Lam supplier network.
  • Lead product development projects from product prototyping, development, deployment/product release, and initial field support.
  • Independently design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems. Coach and provide guidance to suppliers to implement recommended experiments
  • Present analysis and support technical recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products.
  • Provide technical support for installation and/or diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues.
  • Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering with 12 years’ experience, or Master’s degree with 8 years’ related experience related, or a PhD with 5 years’ experience.
  • Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills.
  • Experience with failure analysis using a diverse toolset of materials characterization techniques (microscopy, thermal and mechanical analysis, spectropscopy, etc.).
  • Demonstrated creative thinking, problem solving, troubleshooting capabilities, and resiliency.
  • Exceptional clear communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams comprised of internal and external stakeholders in product engineering and design, manufacturing, field support, quality, and supplier engineering.
  • Experience in plastics fabrication and new product introduction including machining, welding, injection molding, thermoforming, and additive manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and relevant software packages (JMP, Minitab), Gage R&R, and Process Capability Analysis (Cpk/Ppk).
  • Able to quickly distill relevant information to solve problems and identify connections across a matrixed organization. High tolerance for ambiguity is beneficial.
  • Prior product design and technical engineering experience is beneficial.

The Product Manager is responsible for managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. Key responsibilities include:

Managing New Product Development, Roadmaps, and CIP:

  • Author vision statements, document business objectives, and product requirements.
  • Define the product offering within the Product Option Architecture (POA) and manage associated change processes. Communicate product offerings and list pricing to internal organizations.
  • Drive strategies to minimize configurability, maximize commonality, and implement new CIP.
  • Ensure the product meets performance targets, is available in manufacturing with predictable lead-time and cost, and is supportable in the field.

Product Change, Quality, and Profitability Management:

  • Ensure that products and CIP meet performance targets, are available in manufacturing with predictable lead-time and cost, and are supportable in the field with documentation, training, and materials.
  • Define implementation strategies for product enhancements, improvements, and fixes, and communicate these to stakeholders.
  • Manage unreleased products and features; communicate early forecast plans with all stakeholders and manage/coordinate financial approvals.

Who we’re looking for

Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications

The ideal candidate will have sound judgment and decision-making capability. They should also demonstrate the capacity to provide structure and guidance and work effectively across multiple organizations and levels of management. This person must possess a blend of business and technical savvy, big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. The product manager must have the confidence to lead a team of highly technical and competent individuals.
