SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION The Client Service Coordinator (“CSC”) drives the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary medical team (in terms of numbers of clients and pets), ensures good communication with associates and clients, and coordinates the care of clients and pets in a happy, welcoming, friendly and efficient manner, influencing clients to return and refer their friends and families. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS  Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.  Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and route the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity of the veterinary medical team.  Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through through a productive and efficiently run hospital to support the needs of our wellness plan clients.  Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times. This includes encouraging hospital visits, welcoming clients and pets, ensuring that they are comfortable in the hospital, and educating them about their pet’s health.  Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs and hospital services Assist incoming clients by completing the required documentation, entering all pet information and history in the computer, utilizing proper collars and tags for identification, and ensuring prompt service.  Assist outgoing clients by providing all necessary instructions, information and invoices, dispensing prescription items per the veterinarian’s instructions, selling retail products and scheduling future appointments.  Manage the finances by maintaining accurate balances and utilizing proper opening and closing procedures.  Conduct administrative functions as necessary.  Other job duties as assigned. As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer’s trust and confidence in our abilities.   The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:
• Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.

Industrial Custodian 

12 hour shift (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM OR 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) 4 on, 4 off.

 

Purpose of this Role/Summary

  • Responsibility for maintaining a clean and sanitary production facility.
  • This role specializes in sanitation and pest control for the entire site in order to provide a clean, safe and orderly environment that exemplifies a world class manufacturing facility.

 

Principle Accountabilities

  • Responsible for assisting all areas in maintaining high levels of daily cleanliness and adherence to site GMP’s.
  • Prioritize work on a daily basis by identifying pressing issues, through communication with each operator, knowing shift production plans and awareness of area.
  • Promote high quality team environment through effective team work and self-management with a positive attitude.
  • Performs all assigned activities and job tasks within their area
  • Detailed cleaning of large areas and work spaces
  • Detailed cleaning of large pieces of manufacturing equipment
  • Understanding of microbiological and pest control as it pertains to a food manufacturing environment
  • The ability to work with all Teams at the site on Sanitation, Pest Control and Housekeeping Projects
  • The desire to work as an interactive team in a large plant setting
  • Perform sanitation duties as required by the Master Sanitation Schedule, with particular attention to lock out/tag out procedures. Complete required documentation.
  • Educate others on sanitation principles.
  • Every associate at Mars has responsibility for the achievement of quality and food safety.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be capable of working at elevated heights.

Global Senior Manager, Accounting (Mars Snacking)

The Mars Snacking Global Senior Manager, Accounting plays a critical role in ensuring the completeness and accuracy of our Mars Snacking financial statements. This role will be responsible to provide strategic financial insights to a variety of business partners on accounting treatment and building efficient processes that comply with the Mars Finance Manual. This role will collaborate effectively with key business partners including Commercial (Procurement), Sustainability and our regional Controllers to ensure accounting requirements are clear, practiced and drive the result of complete, accurate and well-controlled financial statements.

 

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with Mars Finance Manual and other regulatory requirements.
  • Implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead financial statement reviews for Mars Snacking Global financial results through periodic financial statement reviews and quarterly deep dives with regional/divisional teams.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making on technical accounting requirements including sustainability.
  • Build robust processes to ensure contractual arrangements are accounted for and realized completely and accurately within our financial records over the contract life-span, including monitoring all costs and benefits.
  • Collaborate with other functions to support overall company goals and objectives.
  • Support the annual audit process.
  • Develops digital capabilities to accomplish objectives more effectively and efficiently.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree with a concentration in accounting
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience required (industry or public).
  • Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and SOX requirements
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to articulate technical accounting concepts.
