Focused Improvement Specialist

Focused Improvement Specialist, ROH – Lewisburg, OH – Onsite

 

This is a critical role for NA Royal Canin to deliver commitments of sustainable growth.  The incumbent in this role will need to collaborate across multiple sites and functions (i.e. R&D, Q&FS, S&F, Manufacturing, and Engineering) in order to diagnose, analyze and drive reduction in overall PCC, TRS and NQC.

 

The successful incumbent will need to demonstrate key strengths in influencing without authority at all levels of the organization and negotiation skills to deliver sustainable change. The successful candidate will have strong problem solving and coaching skills, as well as a strong drive for results.

 

Role requires travel (10% approx.) to participate in training and support other Sites

 

What are we looking for?

 

Education

  • BS in Engineering, Supply or Technical field of study with 0-3 years of experience or HS Diploma with 5 years of direct Manufacturing Site experience.

 

Experience:

  • Preferred experience working in relationship-based team environment
  • TPM/WCM/Lean six sigma experience preferred.
  • Certified in Problem Solving Methodologies or similar, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt or actively working towards it is a strong positive
  • Prefer knowledge of Power BI
  • Functional knowledge of factory operations with deep functional knowledge in Problem Solving Methodologies, Data Collection, and value stream mapping
  • Trained in and can demonstrate a variety of problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of SPC (statistical process control), Production reporting and how it can impact NQC & PCC
  • Understanding of site waste reports including Q&FS costs, variance and floor scrap.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Utilize loss analysis methodology and site loss trees to identify, prioritize and execute PCC savings projects across Royal Canin North America Sites
  • Work with Site Industrial Engineer, Area Owners and Operational Leads to make losses visible and deliver the organizational capability to eliminate them.  This includes building the problem-solving capability and the process to manage focused improvement initiative with cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • Provide leadership to deploy best practices and Regional initiatives
  • Use tools available such as RCLMS, Scrap and Rework tracking systems and “Go and See” to understand contributing factors for NQC and make recommendations to improve/change.
  • Work directly with and coach multiple site resources to use data-based problem-solving methodologies to reduce NQC and potentially other costs and ensure problems are resolved to root cause.
  • Help the organization by coaching associates at various levels and coordinate resources across multiple sites to deliver DiB in PCC improvements
  • Ensure control methodologies and processes are embedded to prevent re-occurrence.

Digital Transformation Engineer

This role is a project-based transformation role and has a current expected end date of ‘31st December 2026’. 

 

The individual in this role will be responsible for a hands-on approach to designing the Digital Roadmap for the site with direction from the Site Leadership Team and Regional Digital Supply Excellence Team, managing implementation scope, schedule, dependencies, issues, risk, and stakeholders’ communication for the site’s digital strategy. The individual will need to leverage all the different plant’s digital technology applications to maximize the data through a digital dashboard that will drive productivity and CI.

Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician role maintains equipment and facilities to operate in the safest and most productive electro-mechanical condition, implements continuous improvement, supports new system installations, production strategies, and plant reliability.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-2 years experience in Facility maintenance preferred
  • Good overall knowledge of plant flow, operation and utilities
  • Excellent knowledge of hand tool application, operation and repair. Basic ability to operate machine tools
  • Good theoretical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits (AC/DC, single/polyphase, low/high voltage) and all related equipment both power and logic
  • Working knowledge of Safety, Quality, and Material Management Systems and procedures
  • Proficient in basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude and minimal supervision
  • High School Diploma/ GED or 2 years of manufacturing experience in lieu of education
  • Good basic math, reading, and writing skills
  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Good problem solving and/or troubleshooting skills

Physical Requirements:
