We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Staff Pricing Analyst to join our dynamic pricing team, reporting to the Director of Pricing. What You Can Expect

  • Process ModelN quotes daily to ensure quick turnaround, helping Marvell win new business and maximize profit margins for existing business.
  • Work with Business Units (BU) to provide data analysis aimed at maximizing design-in and profit margin for Marvell’s top customers.
  • Manage RFQs (Requests for Quotation), including quarterly/annual RFQs for existing business and ad-hoc RFQs for new opportunities and designs.
  • Provide data for the annual ASP (Average Selling Price) target setting project or price action impact for Marvell’s top customers.
  • Work with auditors for the control/audit required for this project.
  • Collaborate with BU’s, Finance, Accounting, and Demand Planning to improve the accuracy of the reserves needed for revenue recognition each month.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive pricing, and customer data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product Management to develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize profitability and market share.

What We’re Looking For

Staff Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer – RF/SiPho/TIA/CMOS/SiGe

Marvell’s Broadband Analog group designs physical layer ICs for high-speed optical fiber data communication, such as Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIAs), and drivers for Silicon Photonic (SiPho), Electro-absorption Modulators (EAMs), and Mach-Zehnder Interferometer Modulators (MZMs). This group is the market leader in delivering TIAs and Drivers for Data Center and Telecom markets. We address the bandwidth, capacity and power issues faced by cloud computing and mega data center networks. Our world class group leverages our core competencies in advanced circuit design to solve the world’s ever-increasing desire to transmit more data for less power with fewer errors. We are continually first to market in Data Center, Metro and Long-Haul applications. As a member of the design group, the candidate will be responsible for design and validation of FET and BiCMOS circuits for high-speed broadband ICs that serve these applications.

 

What You Can Expect

Marvell is seeking an RF and Analog Design Engineer to contribute to the development of multi-tens of GHz transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs). These optical interface chips are tightly coupled with our high-performance equalizers. The results of our innovative designs have made our TIAs best in class for coherent long-haul and metro systems as well as PAM4 data center systems. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Active-circuit design.
  • Design of leading edge transimpedance amplifiers, using both SiGe BiCMOS and the most advanced CMOS FinFET technologies, where circuit performance will need to transcend beyond industry leading products.
  • Development of transmission line structures and other millimeter wave structures to enable higher performance than would normally be achievable.
  • Design of high-performance broadband analog circuits for optical front-end receivers.
  • Design of various other analog circuits including linear regulators, AGC loops, current/voltage sensors, bandgaps etc.
  • Work with other functional groups to facilitate post-silicon validation, qualification, transition to mass production, and customer support.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years of industry experience OR Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering with 1+ years of industry experience in the area of designing high-performance RF/Analog Receiver/TIA.
  • Proven experience in high-performance receiver design including both chip tape-out AND lab evaluation.
  • Solid experience in.
    • Using EDA CAD tools
    • Performing Analog Custom Layout
  • Experience in measuring IC performance and debug of design to correlate simulations to measurements.
  • Deep understanding of fundamentals, including:
    • Detailed transistor level design.
    • Device physics.
    • Control/Feedback loop stability analysis.
  • Direct project experience in at least one of the following areas is a plus:
    • Automatic gain-control loops.
    • High precision analog circuits including linear regulators, current sensors, bandgaps and DAC/ADC.
    • Continuous-time linear equalizers.
  • Experience in Package-System integration issues is desired.
  • Project experience in using different technologies. (SiGe BiCMOS and FinFET CMOS are pluses)

  • Experience in the following is a plus:
    • Overseeing and mentoring junior circuit designers.

Sr Staff Firmware/Software Engineer

The Optical Digital Signal Processing (ODSP) PHY SW Team works on Marvell’s DSP products used in pluggable optical modules. These chips form the backbone of the internet, moving data within data centers, between data centers, between cities, and even continents over high bandwidth optical fibres. However the SW team is a key enabler for bringing a product to production, and the roll of a Sr Staff Engineer in our team is to ensure the overall success of that product. For each individual, the role can be some combination of project planning and technical development. This is a highly visible position within the larger organization, you will be a key player in the bringup and development of the product through its entire lifetime.

In this position you will be:

  • The technical or project lead on a product, driving the whole SW team dedicated to that project (2-8 other developers) through the development process from collecting requirements to volume production
  • Responsible for the overall Architecture, Design, Development, and Testing of embedded C firmware for controlling our extremely complicated DSP HW
  • Taking lead on difficult to debug issues, drive to root causes with HW/Systems teams, and follow up with test/validation/customer support teams to make sure the issue is resolved
  • Working with the cross-functional team to plan SW milestones, develop in sprints, closing tickets, work with multiple test disciplines, squash all the bugs, and roll out features for the product as a whole
  • Distilling complex systems specifications from standards bodies (MSA/OIF/CMIS) or directly from the customer into easy-to-digest internal documentation, definition of requirements, and clear sequence diagrams to aid in development.
  • Traveling to offices worldwide for product development and chip bring-up (~3weeks/yr, California, Italy, Vietnam)

Some possible tasks will be:

  • Mentoring a Jr engineer while working on a difficult HW/SW debug together
  • Developing the use cases, architecture, and system diagrams for a complicated new feature, and integrating that feature into the existing FW & Customer SDK to be as seamless as possible
  • Convert computationally heavy floating point matlab algorithms into fixed point firmware state machines, and coming up with simple ways to compare the two to guarantee functional correctness
  • Working with leads in other teams to develop a post-silicon system test plan for a brand new product
  • Using production FW against the DV simulation environment to root cause a complicated sequencing issue only seen in the field
  • Convincing a large group hardware designers to make changes in next generation products to improve field usability

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • BS/MS degree in CS/EE or related technical field(s)
    • 10+ years of experience in memory constrained embedded C/C++ FW development
    • SW Team Lead or Technical Lead on embedded projects; project management & release planning, architecture design & development, code reviews & testing, through to customer volume production
    • Understanding of embedded SoC, micro-controller architecture (RISC-V architecture a plus), memory-mapped hardware interfaces, GPIOs, ISRs, etc.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and able to collaborate in a large cross functional organization
    • Excellent problem-solving and customer debug skills on real hardware in the lab
    • Experience with using revision control and defect tracking systems (git & Jira or similar)
  • Preferred but not required:
    • Experience with SERDES, IM-DD/Coherent DSP, Ethernet/PCIe PHYs, and/or Optical Module SW
    • Experience with designing/developing/debugging software state machines, transitions, context saving, error handling
    • Experience with mixed-signal (analog+digital) control and monitoring, PID/feedback loop control, etc.
    • Experience with bare-metal, RTOS, device driver, Linux kernel, etc.
    • Familiarity with advanced compiler options and details (clang/gcc preferred)
    • Proficient in C and Python, with knowledge of git, Linux, makefiles, gdb, IDEs, bash, etc.
    • Familiarity with digital verification test flows, FPGA emulation, hardware languages such as Verilog
    • Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, supplies, PNAs, ONTs, etc.

Manager, Ethics & Compliance

Marvell’s Ethics & Compliance Team is looking for a Training, Communications and Policy Program Manager to support Marvell’s expanding compliance program. In this role, you will help Marvell build and scale its compliance program to meet regulatory requirements, translate Marvell’s compliance strategy into actionable processes, and implement policies, procedures, and governance to continue to drive a culture of compliance and integrity across our company. You will manage operational and technical projects and workstreams, design mechanisms that meet regulatory requirements, and identify process improvements that mitigate compliance-related risks. You will have an opportunity to work with global stakeholders such as IT, Cybersecurity, AI, Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Sales, and business teams. You will work on emerging issues, such implementing AI into compliance procedures.
