Intern – US Expansion Planning Engineer

As a US Expansion Planning Engineer Intern, you will be helping prepare for production in a new high volume memory manufacturing facility in Boise, Idaho, calculating and communicating capital impacts of processes that will be introduced at the site to senior leaders in manufacturing and R&D.

Based in Boise, you will connect to many parts of the business to drive the execution of manufacturing and cost savings processes, including supply chain, finance, engineering, procurement, production, and R&D.

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Optimize capacity of equipment base and lead site- and tool-level optimization studies for throughput enhancement
  • Collaborate with partners to understand future tool and process roadmaps, and calculate network capacity impacts of process changes
  • Complete financial analyses before new capital equipment is purchased, including metrics optimization, process flexibility, capacity sharing and equipment repurpose
  • Build and implement tools to audit manufacturing capital efficiency and identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Manage and communicate improvement opportunities and implementation plans to all relevant levels and functions in manufacturing
  • Utilize new (e.g. Python, SQL, R) and traditional (Excel, VBA) methods to improve and automate tasks in the planning system/models

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a Business-related or quantitative field (Finance, Economics, or similar discipline)
  • Must be a current student, must not graduate before September 2024.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in crafting and developing web-based reporting metrics (e.g. Tableau, Angular, JavaScript, Python)
  • Experience turning complex and ambiguous problem statements into structured solutions while working in a highly multi-functional environment
  • Experience operating independently while maintaining a high degree of organization and control
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results across diverse technical and non-technical groups
  • Experience working in teams, establishing and maintaining multi-functional and working relationships

Technical Recruiter (Contractor Role)

Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and explain job requirements for technical roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with hiring managers as well as within the talent acquisition team.
  • Be proficient in MS Office and modern Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques and platforms

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in human resources, Business or related field of study
  • Combination of experience and education (without a degree) will also be considered

Product Development Engineer – Node Development CPI -TPG

As a Node Development CPI (Chip Package Integration) Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will work closely with the Product, Quality, Design and Manufacturing teams to ensure first-time qualification success of Micron products. This team will also partner with multi-functional teams to define each silicon node’s Packaging Technology roadmaps and define strategies to ensure that Packaging Technology and interaction with front end manufacturing process are fully developed and qualified well ahead of any qualification of the product itself.  Day to day activities can be as varied as tactical support of manufacturing excursions with data analysis, to brainstorming forward-looking test vehicles that will be used to mitigate risks related to potential CPI (chip-package interaction) issues that may impact first time qualification probability.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Collaborate and validate in silicon the packaging technology needed for the DRAM Node including design rule and process margin validation by developing and driving targeted test vehicles.
  • Development and integration of live die metrology, inline fab metrology, post assembly metrology to correlate front-end mfg to back-end mfg interactions.
  • Support packaging development initiatives.
  • Tactical Support of manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Tactical support of CPI related excursions and deviations (GDMs)
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering for package characterization analysis
  • Create and deliver presentations on critical issues
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings (status updates, Assembly, Quality teams, etc.)
  • Publish packaging updates to Silicon Leads and Product Owners.
  • Test data (Front-end and back-end) Data analysis and summarization.

 

Desired Education and Experience:

 

  • BSEE, BSME or equivalent.
  • Proven industry semiconductor development experience.
  • Proven experience with semiconductor packaging technology and associated front-end manufacturing interaction mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with CPI fail-modes and analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with DRAM architecture, operation, testing, design, and manufacturing.
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills
  • Effective written and spoken communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work within the framework of a cross-functional team

Intern – Technical Product Manager SSD

As the Micron Storage Business Unit Technical Product Manager (TPM) Intern in the Client SSD Marketing Team, you will be responsible for assisting in the definition and execution of Micron’s Client SSD vision. Working cross-functionally with numerous stakeholders, you will help define industry-leading SSD solutions that align to customer requirements in the Mainstream and value SSD market segments. This influential role requires outstanding skills in analytics, SSD/ NAND storage market understanding, outreach to Micron’s customer base, and represent Micron at key industry events.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Understand the current & future SSD features & trends in the Client computing/ storage market and evaluate which features make commercial and economic sense for Micron to pursue including business models, technologies, and future applications
  • Help track and maintain past, present, and future SSD product specifications.
  • Work closely with engineering to track and migrate product requirements to a new JAMA framework
  • Present findings to the executive leadership team on a regular cadence.

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have experience with Data migration and analytics.
  • Good Presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience reading and understanding datasheets is highly desired
