Description: As an Engineering Intern in the Global Quality Engineering group at Micron Technology, you’ll join our team in supporting our 300mm semiconductor quality processes. Typical internships target 3 to 6 months in duration and will be located at the Boise, Idaho facility.
The primary internship project will focus on creation of data visualizations using industry standard reporting tools, data analysis and dynamic database queries. In addition to the primary project, we may also assign other innovative projects that are intended to last internship duration and occupy most of your time. In this effort, we anticipate for our interns to be creative, analytical and take initiative to move assigned projects forward to completion.
Interns will engage with quality engineers from the various locations within Micron’s international footprint to help identify project requirements and validate their outcomes.
Training in quality risk management process and systems will be necessary to support a successful working experience and project deliverables.

- Hands-on experience in the field of data analytics, preferably with experience querying databases
Education:
Sophomore up to Graduate Degree Level Status in Chemical Engineering, Mech Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related Engineering Field.

Responsibilities
- As part of the DTCO team you will be responsible for ensuring that transistor and interconnect models meet product level power-performance-area-cost (PPAC) requirements.
- You will be working closely with modeling teams, process integration teams and design teams in establishing the power-performance requirements; guiding performance improvement and power reduction from a technology perspective; and capturing the salient features into the models.
- You will develop and maintain metrics addressing product level PPAC and you will benchmark these metrics for each new PDK release.
- In addition, you may be responsible for design of test structures addressing PPAC and for implementing new DTCO projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S., M.S., or a PhD (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering or related fields
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics, compact modeling, design rules, basic logic and analog circuit analysis

Facilities Project Coordinator

The Facilities Project Coordinator at Micron Technology is responsible for leading all aspects of an assigned project to include clarifying and detailing the scope, schedule, and budget! The Project Coordinator will also ensure that the resources needed for a successful project are available and coordinated into the project team! In addition, the Project Coordinator’s responsibility is to employ all vital project controls to meet the project objectives and ensure team safety. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Safety & Quality:
- Ensures that the team plans all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron safety policies
- Stops work for safety if unsafe conditions and/or behaviors are identified
- Ensures project team members use job hazard analysis (JHA/JSA) for work being performed
- Collaborates with internal Micron partners, such as Safety, Environmental, and Legal to ensure all regulatory requirements for the projects are being met
- Ensures the project team follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws including PPE, CoHE (lockout/tagout) and chemical safety
