Job Description

This position will be onsite in Sunnyvale, CA for training and is expected to transition to the permanent location in Gilroy, CA facility by March 2026. 

Primary Function of the Position

The Material Handler Lead is an expert position requiring significant experience in warehousing operations, exceptional technical skills (equipment operation, counting, space utilization, handling efficiency), and in-depth knowledge of inventory management systems and Intuitive application systems. The job entails becoming a SME in all warehouse processes and being able to take on special projects on site and other outside warehouse operations; suggest CIPs to increase productivity and efficiency as well as coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Essential Job Duties

This position will fulfill the following roles (If applicable to site):

    • Shipping: Verifies, checks, validates, and receives the shipments incoming and outgoing material to make sure, labels, packing slips, BOL’s other shipping documents and serial cans are done, attached and processed according to work instructions
    • Tool Kits: Utilize Production work orders process to put together toolkits.
    • Receiving: Receiving materials, physically and systemically, to be used in production operations and engineering projects.
    • Parts Put-away: Physically and systemically moving approved Production materials from IQC staging areas into market storage locations. (Totes and Bulk)
    • Storage Market (SMKT, KMKT, MMKT, SVKT, etc.):
      • Point-of-use parts replenishment, for designated production lines.
      • Maintain, report, and drive STO’s cross divisional and other locations replenishment process.
      • Parts Replenishment: Point-of-use parts replenishment for designated production lines. Follow First in First Out (FIFO) when putting away, picking and replenishment material.
      • MT: Fulfilling and transacting MT requests, received either electronically or via hard copy.
      • Sales Order Fulfillment: Fulfilling and transacting Sales Orders
      • STO: Process approved Stock Transfer Orders
      • VLM: Process Vertical Lift Module orders
    • Toolkits: Utilize Production order process to assemble toolkits.
    • SPP Kitting: Production parts replenishment via SPP kitting process.
    • Pack Out: Packing System carts, FRUs and kits.
    • Route Running: Kanban fulfillment and Bin to Bin transactions.
    • Cross Dock: Capable of performing cross dock function.
    • Inventory Control: Understand full flow of the material within stockroom locations. Participate in Cycle Count, Physical Inventories, and reconciliation activities in coordination with Inventory analyst, conduct material audits and parts verification and evaluate bin capacity and consolidations to increase storage capacity. Maintain various SOX compliance audit records and suggest CIPs to improve warehouse efficiency.
    • Ability to perform as warehouse lead in absence of management.
    • Capable of transitioning to all the different regional warehousing business units and performing all duties located within that business unit.
    • Able to define and speak regarding how and why a process is completed in multiple work processes.
    • Ensure the business unit is always audit ready.
    • Responsible for assisting Material Handler 1, 2 and 3, as needed to drive productivity and accuracy.
    • Responsible for complying with general Good Warehouse Practices (GWP) and Warehouse housekeeping processes.
    • Proficient at performing systemic transactions in both SAP and ISI’s applications.
    • Be trained and certified to operate advanced material handling equipment. (Stand-up and order picking lift trucks, and/or electric pallet jack, etc).

      Qualifications

      Required Skills and Experience

      • Typically requires a minimum of 4 to 6 years of related experience at Intuitive, or relevant external experience of 6 to 8 years.
      • Experience and/or certification in operating material-handling equipment.
      • Ability to adhere to attendance, safety, quality, and performance guidelines.
      • Proficient in Agile and/or SAP.
      • Experience with computer systems (MS Office, Agile, WMS) is preferred.
      • Inventory control experience (cycle counting, physical inventories).
      • Experience training/mentoring other material handlers.

      Required Education and Training

      • Possess high school degree/ GED /Secondary Education or equivalent.
      • Knowledge of Kanban systems and other lean material handling principles.
      • Demonstrates understanding of basic operational principles of assemblies upon which training has been completed.
      • Demonstrates ability to diagnose possible root cause failure modes of warehouse transactions.

      Working Conditions

      • Ability to lift material up to 35 lbs.
      • Load & unload trucks as needed via forklift or pallet jacks.
      • Wrap, weigh & prepare shipments on skids/pallets.
      • Extensive walking and repetitive physical motion (squatting, bending, lifting, climbing ladders) is required.

Job Description

Primary Function of the Position

The Manager of Production Engineering is accountable of managing production activities of a Value Stream to deliver products/ services that meet quality specifications, achieve, or exceed service level and cost targets while ensuring employees safety, complying with applicable regulations and company policies.

Under direct supervision works with the Sr. Production Manager or Director of Manufacturing to establish short-term strategies to assure meeting SIOP production goals as well as product/ process transfer, employee engagement, culture deployment, and continues improvement processes.

This role require partnership with local and corporate departments to ensure alignment and flawless plan execution. Asked to maintain an effective work model through the implementation and monitoring of process indicators in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Staff and Productivity.

Essential Job Duties

  • Participate in Goals deployment process, measure production metrics (KPIs) to monitor performance and coordinates actions to ensure improvements.
  • Review production plan and coordinates manufacturing resources to ensure timely delivery of products and components, while be sure to comply with Quality System requirements
  • Interacts and works jointly with other departments to solve any restriction that may stop or slow down production, including material, personnel, equipment, and process issues.
  • Participate in planning budget and control expenses applicable to production area to comply or exceed department financial targets
    • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level (Safety, People, Quality, Service and other)
    • Identifies and coordinates cost reduction projects including labor productivity, inventory optimization, material scrap and defects reduction, using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to drive improvements on department KPIs
    • Monitor inventory and cyclical counts of raw material
    • Promote the implementation of Safe work conditions by performing /coordinating root cause analysis for safety hazards and/or security incidents or accidents
    • Promote the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Order and cleanliness (5S’s) and Health and Hygiene campaigns
      • Provides timely and effective help for new products introduction and existent process transferences
      • Validate Engineering Changes (ECO’s)
      • Ensures to comply with quality system (QSR), Standards (ISO) and Environment, HS requirements, as well as all applicable company procedures and policies
      • Coordinate quality audits random to the production process
      • Responsible for ensuring subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
      • Participate in the Health and Safety Commission, making tours to identify unsafe conditions
      • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
      • As part of the responsibilities includes perform interviews, hire, and train employees, plan, assign and manage workload to monitor their development plans (TAPs, OTPs), reward and discipline employees, manage conflicts
        • Partnership with Human Resource department to address personal related activities
          • Ensure that your staff complies with the training program certifications.
          • Ensure that corrective actions generated by quality notifications (VR’s, PL’s, NCR’S, DN’s, EE’s) are closed in accordance with the quality system.
          • Perform semiannual evaluation process (C.I.P and MERIT), giving feedback to supervisors

Primary Function of Position:

We are seeking multiple Product Management MBA Interns to support teams across the organization. This position has the opportunity to make a direct impact on Intuitive’s product and procedural initiatives which make Intuitive’s solutions available to patients worldwide. With the direction and supervision of a Group Manager or Sr. Marketing Manager, the MBA Intern will play a role in creating strategy for markets and products which will enable adoption and growth of the company’s commercial portfolio.

 

Based on candidate’s interest and qualifications, Product Management Internship positions may be available in hardware, software, digital, and services.

Qualifications

This position has responsibility and authority to:

  • Deliver analysis, insights and strategy to drive direction of a product and/or service, possibly including, but not limited to: positioning, value proposition, segmentation, pricing, market share review, conducting market research, and product requirements.
  • Define product claims and pillars, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in multiple regions to create go-to-market plans and rollout strategies that will enable successful launches
  • Develop an understanding of the offering’s value proposition and how to communicate that message to key customers and constituencies such as physicians, providers, payers, and the sales force.

University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:

  • University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.
  • Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.
