Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead Person, the Wholesale Picker Packer picks and packs merchandise for shipment and prepares all necessary paperwork. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product handled. Pick products according to order, either manually or with electronic scanning devices. Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies, and procedures.

Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00am – 2:30pm (Monday through Friday)
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Pick products according to order, either manually or with electronic scanning devices
- Lifts, stacks, and arranges product on a pallet in preparation for shipment.
- Wraps product, trays, and cartons with plastic, by hand or by using wrapping machine.
- Verifies correct product(s) and quantity of each item are present.
- Generates labels and prepares paperwork necessary for order shipment.
- Able to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment and around industrial equipment.
- Personally responsible for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Team Technician, Packaging (2nd Shift)
The Packaging Team Technician will perform a broader range of responsibilities than a Team Member. The individual will perform a variety of tasks within the manufacturing facility as needed, with a primary focus in the Packaging department. This will include completing all tasks within the packing area including interfacing with the Human Machine Interface (HMI). In addition to performing the Team Member responsibilities, the Packaging Team Technician is responsible for the following.
Schedule: 4:15pm to 2:45am (Monday – Thursday)
Responsibilities
Set-up, clean, operate and adjust all packaging equipment (forklift, conveyors, tape sealers, Little David, laser, tray washer, floor scrubber, shrink wrapper, matrix, flexicon, case packer, palletizer, video jet, steam table, oil & sander drum etc.) in a mass/high volume production environment.
Ability to read and follow operating and/or written procedures to conduct assigned tasks safely and within standard time.
Perform all functions according to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) meeting required production standards.
Fully trained and qualified in all operating instructions, SOP’s, JHA, and area specific technical instructions for assigned role
Conducts Scale Verifications.
Properly document and maintain log books/batch records
Conducts piece weight testing
Adds new bulks to markem/videojet
Conducts Sensory Evaluations
Manages and follows process controls in the packaging area
Completes and ensures proper metal detector checks as a Critical Control Point (CCP)
Engage in Daily Shift meetings using 2 way communications to review shift actual results to goals. Take individual accountability in assisting the team in identifying and closing actions to resolve problems.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment through the use of visual management tools and standards; responsible for proper waste disposal.
Coordinate activities within a team environment and be flexible in adapting to changing work environment. Follow escalation process, standard work, and assist team in “Why” Problem Solving Analysis.
Flows to the Work (FTW): supports gummy inspection (and other areas) in production as needed

Within the production environment at our Nestle Purina Miami, OK facility, you will work as a Packing Operator to support production. Since safety is a top priority at Purina, much of your responsibility will focus on ensuring that our equipment and machinery remain in top-notch condition. Your ability to acclimate and problem solve quickly will be critically important as unforeseen equipment issues may arise throughout the normal operation day. - Safely and efficiently operate, troubleshoot, and make minor repairs on operating equipment using lock out procedures, as prescribed.
- Utilize computer technology and basic math skills to effectively perform job requirements.
- Occasionally will work at high heights within plant to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Work in facility environment that is not climate controlled.
- All other duties as assigned.
