Position Specific Description

 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Correspondence Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operations and a proven track record of leading projects successfully, with exceptional communication skills, and a passion for maintaining positive customer relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Plan, lead, and execute projects aimed at optimizing processes and improving operational efficiency.
•    Develop project plans, set timelines, and manage resources effectively to ensure successful project completion.
•    Oversee and manage all aspects of daily operations, including receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and packages, as well as preparing and processing outgoing mail.
•    Ensure compliance with company policies and postal regulations.
•    Utilize and maintain equipment such as postage meters, sorting machines, and scanners.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify needs, gather requirements, and implement solutions.
•    Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
•    Create and present reports on activities, key metrics, and project progress to management.
•    Provide guidance and support to staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
•    Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to operations promptly and effectively.

  • Provides timely and quality billing, new service set-up, customer care, collections, and back office functions

Compensation:
$18 an hour includes training
Monthly incentive program for excellent performance

Work Location: This is not a work from home position and all candidates are required to work from the office.

Training: FPL Lejeune Flagler Office (LFO) located at 4200 W Flagler St. Miami, FL 33134.
Post-Training: Employees enrolled AT FIU will transition to the FIU campus and work out of the MARC building once training is completed. Candidates that are not enrolled at Florida International University (FIU) will remain working out of the Lejeune Flagler Office.

Training: Duration of 6-8 weeks
Agent training is paid and will take place Monday – Friday from 8am-2pm with anticipated start date of  April 17, 2025.  Training is mandatory and candidates will be required to attend all training without exceptions.

Work Schedule upon completion of training: 20-29 hours weekly
Weekday: Flexible schedules based on your school availability (Summer semester requires 25-29 hours per week)
Weekend shift required: Saturday 3PM – 11PM

Sourcing Specialist I

This position executes the sourcing process for assigned business areas and implements policies and programs directed towards providing contracted services and materials. Employees in this role develop and execute complex sourcing agreements containing unique terms and conditions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•   Executes the sourcing process for assigned areas
•   Analyzes responses to complex bid requests, points out commercial differences, and makes succinct recommendations in selecting appropriate suppliers for contract awards
•   Develops and maintains relationships with business units and suppliers, and conducts complex negotiations successfully under aggressive time demands
•   Leads and/or participates on sourcing project teams
•   Recommends and communicates sourcing strategy, progress, and results to supervision and ISC management
•   Conducts industry analysis and evaluates supplier performance
•   Provides market data to support supplier selection, qualification, and on-going performance management
•   Drives down the total cost of ownership, and assists in managing the external spend
•   Participates in sourcing data analysis, forecasting and planning
•   Develops new sources of supply and monitors ongoing supplier performance
•   Conducts business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for corporate guidelines, legal and environmental regulations
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Financial Valuation Analyst

Deliver sound financial valuation of wholesale power derivatives including load following, deterministic, and block energy products mostly bundled with capacity, renewable energy credits, ancillary services, and other products to serve residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal customers. Executes valuation process for transactions ranging from approximately 1MW to 1000MW with 3 to 36 month terms that yield revenues up to $700MM. Values transactions by evaluating power futures or fundamental commodity estimates to create forecasts based on historical data analysis, multiple regression, number theory, logic, Monte Carlo simulations, scenario analysis, and proprietary models.  Valuation process relies on knowledge of algebra, statistics, probability, present value, portfolio theory, risk and return, discounted cash flows, comparable analysis, energy markets, logic, binomial tree modeling, and calculus.

 

Executes regional forecasting assignments for energy, volatility, capacity, renewable energy credits and ancillary services. Maintains valuation models and templates for team use which may involve code development or maintenance. Researches laws, regulations, tariffs, and market procedures in a variety of markets to create models and forecast applicable costs. May complete ad hoc analysis of forwards, futures, options, interest rates, market conditions, exotic structures, weather products, and other financial or commercial assignments required to achieve group objectives.
