Responsibilities

 

What You’ll Do:

You will build and manage global procurement model for Panasonic factories with value added support & account management from receiving new orders, working with vendors & all parties involved to ensure procurement SCM & customer satisfaction.

 

Procurement Operation Management

  • Analyze customer needs and provide value added service to consolidate procurement functions of Panasonic factories to maximize efficiency
  • Control inventory and delivery, checking inventory and balance purchase order status, negotiating with suppliers and customers and cooperating with business associate (warehouse, logistics companies)
  • Control logistics cost and business process cost referring to business rule.
  • Summarize monthly P & L and balance sheet figures for each in-charge account.

Solution Development

  • Identify opportunities to improve, develop and expand the global procurement scheme through purchase and supply of raw materials (resin), metal process.
  • Communicate with business associates (customers, suppliers, logistics service providers) smoothly with problem solving mind. Especially needs to discuss and negotiate with Business Division in Mexico, USA and Japan and suppliers.

Admin

  • Maintain the computer system master data (customer, vendor & product) including price, minimum order quantity, delivery lead time, etc.
  • Ensure timely collection of account receivables from customers
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices to suppliers, freight & warehouse companies

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

Education & Experience:

  • Prefer 3-5 years Global procurement experience
  • BA\BS in International Business preferred
  • Must be proficient with MS Office suite, particularly with Excel
  • Experience work in Battery Material, Resin Process, Metal Process industry preferred

The wage range of $55,000 – $65,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Data Analytics Manager

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

Data is the backbone of our Panasonic Supply Chain and Panasonic North America is focused on transforming our supply chain data, reporting and business intelligence to make real-time, informed business decisions. To achieve this goal, we are seeking a rock star Data Analytics Manager to lead and execute our data and reporting transformation vision.  This leader will manage the data and analytics function supporting Logistics and Procurement to produce quality analysis, performance dashboards, business operations reports, and financial reports. The critical business intelligence outputs of this manager and her/his team are directly leveraged by logistics, procurement and business unit management and executive leaders to understand performance, trends, and proactively management supply chain operations.

 

This leader directly supports logistics and procurement group management to plan and execute the supply chain strategy. She or he will also have direct ownership of annual financial business plan processes. The manager will work closely with sales division business partners and operation team managers, while managing the vendors who provide us with the resources to create the reports on a day-to-day basis and ensure the accuracy and timeliness to submit the reports.

 

By aligning their team to work with respective PNA sales companies and other operational units and departments, the Manager will work closely with the VP of Supply Chain, Director of Procurement, Director of Strategy and Trade, Director of Solutions and Planning, and Director of Logistics Operations to develop and execute the team’s procurement, logistics, supply-chain strategies and plans to reduce costs, shorten lead time and enhance the service performance and efficiencies, while synchronizing the efforts with the direction and objectives that are set forth by each of the respective sales companies or factories.

 

Own and deliver high quality performance KPI scorecards, business reports, and cost saving reporting

  • Create, maintain, and manage supply chain performance scorecards for each function using PowerBI interface.

  • Supply Chain Procurement and Logistics data quality management
  • Continuously improve and monitor supply chain data, its accuracy and corrective actions to address issues.
  • Domain and sales company liaison.
    • Ensure smooth and consistent communication with the domain and respective sales company contacts via e-mails, conference calls, meetings and other means of communication.

Lead and manage Business Intelligence team and the Outsourced Vendors

  • Lead and inspire 1 direct Panasonic data analyst and 3-4 remote vendor outsourced analysts to achieve team goals.
  • Manage the team and the remote analytics operations by evaluating the daily/weekly/monthly KPI and by working with individuals to drive accountability of assigned tasks and projects.
  • Ensure that SOPs are maintained in a timely fashion to ensure analysts can follow standard approaches to create and deliver various reports.
  • Develop and coordinate a streamlined reporting approach.
  • Coach and guide the team and the outsourcers 3 vendors 1 by sharing the knowledge base and skills.
  • Ensure the team remains focused on professional development to leverage leading technology and approaches to streamline data reporting and business intelligence.
  • Work with the analysts to create and maintain the templates for all weekly, monthly and yearly reports that can be filled and maintained by the outsourcers and vendors so that the reporting operations can be managed efficiently and properly.
  • Serve as a liaison between the outsourcers and Panasonic and ensure smooth communication between the two entities and timely submission based on the commitment made to the recipients of such reports.

Data Governance, Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Software.

  • Prepare Data Governance and Data Quality roadmap and execute it over next couple of years.
  • Manage data integrity and serve as Supply Chain subject matter expert in partnership with IT Department to create a high-quality Data Warehouse.
  • Work with Panasonic IT Department to improve functionality of Data Warehouse.
  • Work with different functions to improve Data Quality.
  • Manage design table of Business Objects intelligence software and create a future strategy for Supply Chain business intelligence software and reporting.

Own data inputs, analysis, and monthly tacking of annual financial business plan processes.

  • Maintain strong communication and data support with associated finance and accounting teammates

SCOPE: Budget, employees direct and indirect and other resources managed.

  • Supervise administrative function which includes planning and directing the work of the unit and selecting, coaching, and disciplining 1 direct Panasonic analyst and 3 outsourced remote analysts.
  • Tracks and supports analysis of 155M dollars annual Supply Chain budget.
  • Reports to Director, Supply Chain Solutions and Strategy.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

 

Education and Experience  Degree required or preferred

  • Minimum BA degree in Data Analytics, Business, or BA in logistics preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive supply chain analysis experience.
  • Managerial experience in logistics and or transportation field is preferred.
  • Advanced PC skills, MS office access, PowerPoint and excel required.
  • Good understanding of supply chain to include procurement and logistics.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills for Business Objects preferred.

Competencies Key desired behaviors e.g., problem solving, innovation, collaboration, etc.

  • Fact finding and analysis are critical parts of the job. Analysis requires assembling facts and evidence from variety of sources, using considerable latitude in applying the proper analytical methodology.
