Centralized Support Rep – Mail

As a centralized support representative, you’ll play a key role expediting the collection process of a claim – making use of Progressive systems and databases to retrieve claim and contact information. Supporting our National Salvage Unit, you’ll research and route documents to proper location in addition to other administrative tasks essential to the salvage process.
Must-have qualifications:
·       High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of one-year relevant work experience.

·       Customer service or sales.
·       Fast paced and changing environment.
·       Multitasking and time management skills.
·       Effectively communicating verbally and in writing.

Licensed Insurance Agent

This position doesn’t provide training to obtain a license. Please make sure you have an active Property & Casualty or Personal Lines license before applying.

Claims Adjuster Trainee

As a claims adjuster trainee, you’ll learn how to help customers get back on the road after an accident. This is not a field position, which means you’ll be building relationships with customers over the phone. In a fast-paced environment, you’ll learn how to resolve a full case load of claims efficiently while managing the claims process from start to finish. You’ll have the support of a collaborative team and ongoing coaching from leaders. We’ll also teach you the insurance stuff – providing in-depth training on property damage and insurance contracts so you can confidently and independently adjust claims.

This is a hybrid role, which means you’ll work in-office two days that are selected by local leadership and choose where you want to work the other three days, whether that’s at home or in the office, for a period of 12 months. After that period, the days you’ll be expected to report to an office for important meetings, training, and collaboration will vary based on business need. In this hybrid work environment, you’ll be supported by your leaders and tenured colleagues to develop relationships, establish connections, and share practices that are important to your development. If you prefer an in-office environment, you’re welcome to work in the office as often as you would like.

Duties & responsibilities (upon completion of training)

  • Determine coverage
  • Determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages)
  • Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
  • Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
  • Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims

Must-have qualifications

  • Three years of work experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree OR
  • Two years work experience and an associate degree

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm. After training, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm

Compensation

  • Once you complete training and pass any necessary testing requirements, your salary will range from $51,000-$54,500/ year. However, during training, you’ll be paid hourly based on your annual salary.

Territory Sales Representative

As a territory sales representative, you’ll be the face of Progressive for independent agencies. In this role, you’ll meet with agents in your assigned territory to influence and advocate for increased utilization of Progressive’s products and services. You’ll tailor your agent meetings to create opportunities to benefit both Progressive and the agency. As an account sales representative, you’ll manage the quality of the book of business and overcome objections to drive profitable growth within your territory. By becoming a trusted partner, you’ll learn the agency’s goals and how our products fit into those goals. You’ll be provided a company vehicle, phone, laptop, and company credit card.

Territory: Central Illinois, including Springfield, Urbana, Ottawa, Davenport and surrounding communities.  Candidates must be able to travel to and meet with all agencies within this geographic area. Overnight travel will be required within the territory (approximately 1-2 nights per week).

Home office location: Springfield, Peoria, Bloomington, Urbana, Decatur, IL and surrounding communities.

Must-have qualifications 

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of six years outside business to business sales experience or territory management experience.
  • {OR} Bachelor’s degree or higher and a minimum of three years outside business to business sales experience or territory management experience.
  • This position requires compliance with Progressive’s driving standards and\or policy.
  • This position requires a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Preferred skills

  • Outside business-to-business sales experience with a demonstrated ability to advocate, influence, and advance results and business outcomes
  • Ability to manage work and weekly schedule independently and efficiently– prior experience in a field-based role
  • Ability to use formal and informal networks to accomplish goals and review data sources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with a sales or customer relationship management tool (i.e., Salesforce)

Compensation 

  • $88,000-$103,000/year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
