General Summary:
Qualcomm is seeking an experienced professional to serve as an Account Manager for key customers in North America. This role involves developing relationships, managing logistics, and driving business growth.
Key objectives include:
- Develop and drive relationships with decision makers in key areas such as marketing, engineering, purchasing and operations, and be able to interact effectively with individuals ranging from top to bottom within the customer’s hierarchy. Build a relationship map for all key customers and facilitate appropriate relationships across Qualcomm resources to the appropriate decision maker at the top customers. - Manage key logistical elements related to their assigned customer base, including pipeline tracking, quoting, supply management, forecasting, financial planning & contractual negotiations.
- Create and deliver technical product presentations and define engagement plans for target customers. Own all aspects of meeting planning, flow of the meeting itself, and follow-up / action items post meeting with the customer.
- Understand and articulate Qualcomm’s overall product line-up and roadmap, particularly relative to the products being offered by our competition. Position Qualcomm’s products effectively as well as capture customer inputs on QCOM’s product lineup to share with our product line and engineering teams. Having intimate knowledge of competitor’s position as well as the customer’s requirements helps our account team play an active role in shaping Qualcomm’s product development for new applications, products and product innovations.
- Identify new program opportunities at target customers and work to propose Qualcomm solutions for each. Understand the key requirements from the customer in terms of functionality, features, cost and other performance metrics and promote a corresponding Qualcomm product that best fits the customer’s requirements. In addition to this, proactively encourage the customer to explore products, applications or markets that are synergistic with the customers’ experience and strengths, even if the customer does not actively participate in those areas today.
- Develop and present business plans that tracks to overall account plan and align with internal relevant BU leaders.
- Manage active program / design engagements to ensure that customer deliverables are being met, actively working with product line and/or engineering representatives to ensure success. Track programs by application, status, actions and owners for easy reference by management and other team members.
- Focus on growing Qualcomm’s business and relevance within the target markets being covered.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5 or more years of successful sales, business development and/or marketing related business experience, preferably in the networking / connected devices markets.
- Demonstrated leadership skills both with internal teams as well as at customers, strong project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal & relationship building skills combined with excellent oral & written communication ability.
- Ability to execute against both short-term deliverables and long-term strategic initiatives.

Program Manager, Staff
IE-IoT Program Management team is looking for a Staff Program Manager to lead camera systems and software activities. Camera solutions are an integral part of our offerings in segments such as Retail, Robotics and Consumer. As the Camera systems and software PM, you will be working with engineering, business and operations teams to establish the plan of record. You will interact with a dynamic global team on abstract problems that require complex analysis.
Role Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to translate strategic initiatives into actionable plans.
- Establish process and structure to the functions of camera systems and software teams
- Partner with systems and software leads to evaluate multiple product requests that come in from IoT business segments
- Establish process to determine priority among evaluations for products

Minimum Qualifications:

Engineering Technician
Qualcomm provides hardware, software, and related services to nearly every mobile device maker and operator in the global wireless marketplace. Our chipsets power a variety of products; tablets, smartphones, e-readers and other devices, and our digital design team is at the core of all of them. Depending on your technical area, you will be responsible for becoming a subject matter expert and go-to person for other members of your team. The environment is fast-paced and requires cross-functional interaction daily so good communication, planning and execution skills are a must. Qualcomm’s Validation Team is part of the central SoC digital hardware organization responsible for the overall quality of the SoC silicon.
The Validation team works closely with architects, designers, verification engineers, software engineers, and customers The candidate is to handle silicon and run regression tests in the lab. The individual in this role will be supporting the engineers in this department. The Job is to handle silicon and run regression tests in the lab. Preferably, candidate should be open to working overtime and evening shifts occasionally.
Job requires flexible schedule including weekend support. Core work hours are 2pm – 10pm.
Qualifications
Should be self-sufficient with minimal guidance with the following tasks:
1. High school completed or minimum 2 years of experience as an electro-mechanical technician is a must. Associate degree in the area of computer and/or mechanical field is a plus. College degree in the relevant computer and/or mechanical field is not a must but highly desirable.
2. Setup and debug issues with post-silicon hardware dev platforms including development boards, form-factor devices, connectivity and power supply equipment, and thermal units/chambers.
3. Debugging system failures: Run post-silicon tests to isolate failures and discuss results and next steps with engineers.
4. Running tests on automated test handlers and systems
5. Setting up computer automation and efficient test procedures and flows.
6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
