Store Manager – Marina Bay Sands

Job Summary

To maximize sales productivity while nurturing, developing, and motivating a strong retail team and creating a memorable and pleasant customer shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for sales and profit performance in the assigned store (Ralph Lauren, Marina Bay Sands).
  • Work with the Senior Management to establish and achieve sales and margin goals, develop operating budgets and monitor performance.
  • Manages the store team to maximize sales and profit performance.
  • Partner with different internal departments with regards to merchandise presentation, marketing, operations etc.
  • Identify items and merchandise classifications of high sales and profit potential.
  • Identify potential areas for improvements in store operations and merchandise flow to maximize the department’s performance.
  • Direct and execute Ralph Lauren’s promotional strategies and programs, assuring that they support the overall sales and profit objectives.
  • Maintain a welcoming environment that generates customer traffic and builds loyalty by exceeding customer’s expectations.
  • Assuring the maintenance of appropriate and balanced inventory levels.
  • Responsible for ensuring adequate store maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Stay updated on relevant current and emerging trends and competitors to maintain awareness of store performance and market.
  • Directly responsible for the supervision and development of store staff capable of meeting sales, margin, expense as well as merchandising standards, operating objectives and customer service initiatives.
  • Responsible for the ongoing evaluation, development, mentor and training of the store teams and work with Learning & Development team to close the gaps.
  • Any other duties and obligations that may be designated by the Company which are reasonably consistent with your job title.

Requirements

  • Having a Degree or above is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 3 years of retail management experience, with at least 1 year within a high-volume luxury retail environment.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen, with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiasm and ability to build and maintain an environment which projects a high level of sophistication consistent with Ralph Lauren’s lifestyle philosophy.

  • Ability to operate the register, stand, move and walk for multiple hours
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require day, evening, weekends and may include overnight shifts and travel (as required)
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, management and co-workers.

As the Associate Manager, you support the General Manager in the creation of strategic plans, managing the execution of plans to ensure a profitable business. Associate Managers are key decision makers in the absence of the General Manager, in addition to owning their duty of responsibility. Success is achieved through operational excellence, optimizing talent and new ways of selling, while ensuring the highest level of brand integrity standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in analyzing business trends and strategic planning of business initiatives for your store location
  • Understand and educate your team on sales and profit performance tools and resources
  • Create a consistent customer experience aligned to RL brand expectations by supporting the store vision
  • Assist in the creation of the store client development strategy and lead community outreach in your market
  • Execute the talent strategy set for your store, collaborating with the General Manager to build and develop a team with the customer at its core, who can deliver the store vision
  • Drive networking and recruitment activities in your store market
  • Actively engage in ongoing talent development conversations, providing employees coaching, feedback and learning opportunities
  • Maintain exceptional productivity standards through managing processes and store execution, including supporting with inventory control and management to achieve store shrink goals.
  • Champion use of new technology in support of New Ways of Selling techniques and More Ways to Shop to drive business result
  • Uphold all company policies and procedures
  • Provide feedback to General Manager & District Director, identifying high profit potential and category business trends for your store market
  • Ensure sales floor and all store standards exceed expectations at all times

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • College Degree or equivalent a plus
