Project Overview:
Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.
Job Summary:
The Workface Planner Piping/Mechanical will be responsible to prepare Installation Work Packages (IWPs), Material Take-offs (MTO) & Test Work Packages (TWPs) for specific disciplines and will also support office construction activities, such constructability reviews, ensuring safety in design, providing construction’s input to engineering and procurement teams that improves Total Installed Cost (TIC) on the projects. #LI-BH1
Major Responsibilities:
- The Piping/Mechanical Workface Planner is responsible for developing Installation work packages (IWPs), Test Work Packages (TWPs) for Piping installations in addition to being accountable for developing the detailed IWP release plan (90-Day schedule) with the responsible Superintendent, or responsible Field Engineer.
- Review general installation priorities and check to assure the work accomplished meets the project requirements.
- Reviews work scope, checking sequences, access, resources, equipment needs, pre-work, materials, and support services.
- Prepares the scope of the IWP/TWP in coordination with piping field engineer to gain approval for the IWP/TWP.
- Perform random checking of IWP/TWP assembled by the other Workface planner.
- Understand work packaging philosophy, scope of installation, Work Breakdown Structure, and scoping of installation work packages.
- Monitor project schedule and ensure performance and timely delivery of IWP/TWP; coordinate with Project Controls team, planners, other stakeholder of the project and ensure piping IWPs are issued as per the project priorities
- Monitor quality of IWP/TWP ensuring scoping and preparation of IWP/TWP is done right the first time Attend progress meetings, maintain effective interface with site management team, client’s organization ensuring IWP/TWP, and advance work packaging efforts are effectively delivered on the project.
- Develops detailed IWPs/TWPs as per the project guidelines and procedures, which includes, compiling mechanical & piping installation drawings, Isometrics, installation details, model snapshots, vendor drawings, inspection test records, flange connection datasheets or any other documents or Engineering deliverables associated with the IWPs/TWPs.
- Supports development of various other construction engineering deliverables like material takeoff of Piping bulk material and vendor supplied piping components and bulks; upload material take-off quantities and other attributes of Work Packages into the TEAMWorks database or project specific database.
- Preparation of work packages and method statement for module interconnects, field welds, removal of shipping supports, and other activities involved in installation of module.
- Preparation of IWP constrains list and assist in resolution and closure of constraints or engineering issues.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in piping installation on large Oil & Gas projects / process industry projects.
- Shall have an experience of preparation of piping Installation work packages and piping test work packages.

Bechtel is actively executing projects and has a development pipeline for wind and solar projects around the world, with a focus in North America. We are seeking an experienced engineer who will also support the Commissioning and Startup Function in its activities.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will assist with technical direction and conduct installation configuration validation and work package development. You will participate in and assist with work planning, turnover coordination, material management and quantities, quality control, and environmental safety and health. Your work will help ensure equipment, systems, and activities are operating and compliant with plans and design.
In this role, you will report to the Functional Commissioning Manager. You will produce commissioning test documents in accordance with the agreed procedures and will lead a team of technicians and subcontractors in the execution, documentation and review of commissioning tests and the results generated. The engineer will also participate in the formulation of commissioning and startup policies, training courses and bid proposals, and will assist in operational tasks the Function undertakes.

- Where necessary supervise Commissioning technicians under their direct responsibility.
- Adherence to the agreed Commissioning Quality Management System and ensuring that the commissioning team members correctly apply procedures, codes and standards to commissioning activities.

This team manages the planning, environmental clearance, design, and construction of projects on the state highway system under California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) oversight, following Caltrans’ standards and procedures. Major Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement, selection, and oversight of construction management and design consultants for capital and toll projects – highway, rail, and active transportation.

- A minimum of 10 years of experience working in a delivery management capacity on highways and Class 1 railway projects
- Licensed civil engineer in the state of California, preferred but not required.
