The Engagement Modeling Team at Reddit focuses on building machine learning models to drive user engagement with diverse media and content. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and scale Reddit’s Ads prediction models, in alignment with our core values and product goals. Responsibilities:

  • Set Technical Vision and Strategy: Define and execute a roadmap for engagement modeling, balancing innovative modeling approaches with business objectives.

Candidate Profile:

  • 2+ years of management experience leading ML-focused teams.
  • 6+ years of experience working with machine learning models at scale.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • End-to-End ML Lifecycle Experience: Proven ability in training, evaluating, and deploying large-scale models.
  • Experience with Ads or Engagement Modeling is a plus, with a focus on media interactions.

Sr. Contingent Workforce Business Partner

The Sr. Contingent Workforce Business Partner (‘Sr. CWBP’) is a new role on Reddit’s Contingent Workforce team, and will work closely with our Sr. Mgr of Contingent Workforce & Global Mobility in driving forward a best in class operation. The Sr. CWBP works across the company to help drive operational efficiency, strategy, compliance, and education on contingent labor usage. This is a US based remote work opportunity.

The successful candidate:

We are looking for an experienced contingent workforce professional who enjoys working as an individual contributor. As a small team, teamwork, collaboration, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to jump in to support any & all daily tasks are success factors as critical as the CWBP’s experience in global contingent workforce operations.  Practically, this role combines operations management, project management, and tactical work to enable our business partners to hire and manage their contractors.

Our ideal candidate will partner closely with business leaders to creatively problem solve while still controlling for risk. They will be able to influence the business to proactively drive operational excellence in a complex environment, embracing ambiguity, and driving innovative and impactful solutions. They will be able to support day to day activities, as well as drive program level projects and initiatives.

Key responsibilities may include:

Contingent Workforce SME:

  • Partner with Reddit managers to advise, educate and influence on a wide range of Contingent Workforce issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners
  • Identify issues proactively based on discussions with business partners, and ideate on solutions or programmatic improvements to address those issues
  • Work with the Sr. Manager to establish new global hiring locations, and all necessary infrastructure to support those hires
  • Drive program level project initiatives
  • Conduct in-person training sessions with suppliers, contractors, and managers


Sourcing and Recruitment:

    • Partner with hiring managers to identify contingent workforce needs
    • Utilize external staffing agencies and vendor management systems to source qualified candidates.

Contract Management:

    • Negotiate contract terms with staffing agencies and individual contractors, including rates, scope of work, and duration.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and relevant employment laws regarding contingent workers.

Relationship Building:

    • Build strong relationships with hiring managers, cross functional teams, and external staffing agencies to facilitate smooth onboarding and ongoing support for contingent workers.
    • Proactively address any concerns or issues raised by contingent workers or hiring managers.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Track key metrics related to contingent workforce utilization, cost, and performance to identify areas for improvement.
    • Generate reports and insights to inform strategic decision-making regarding the contingent workforce program.

Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Maintain accurate records within our Vendor Management System
    • Ensure adherence to all relevant compliance requirements related to contingent workforce management, including background checks, tax regulations, and data privacy.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the contingent workforce.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in contingent workforce management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of contingent workforce management practices and legal considerations.
  • Proven experience in recruitment and staffing, ideally with a focus on managing external providers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends regarding contingent workforce performance.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and vendor management platforms. Workday experience advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: Certified Contingent Workforce Professional (CCWP) or similar certification.
  • Experience: Experience working in a global organization with a global contingent workforce.

Senior Data Scientist, Safety Insights

Reddit is poised to rapidly innovate and grow like no other time in its history, and user safety is a critical accelerant of that growth.  We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Safety Insights Data Science team, and lead strategic and product analytics for Reddit users’ on-platform safety experiences, as well as our safety signals foundation.  You will partner with Consumer Safety and Safety Signals product and engineering teams, as well as user researchers and fellow Safety data scientists.  Your impact will be in the forms of strategic influence, execution support, and org contributions to the data science function and the Safety Org.

The Safety Org is one of Reddit’s biggest divisions, and Safety Insights works across the entire org to provide qualitative (user research) and quantitative (data science) insights for product development, scaled abuse detection/mitigation, threat intelligence, and safety operations.  We unravel hard problems that cut across safety domains, and guide product development to protect our users from bad experiences.  In the Safety Insights team, we value asking who’s missing, surfacing the deeper questions, up-leveling our peers, and facilitating good conversations.  Our job is tough, but the impact is huge.

Responsibilities:

  • Use data to inform strategic directions of consumer safety and safety signals product development, and understand the impact of product launches;
  • Tactically support product development, product launch and go-to-market;
  • Derive user insights and problem insights from data, and partner with User Research to combine qualitative and quantitative evidence for better decision-making;

Legal Director, Privacy

We are looking for a senior attorney to join our growing team and manage the legal team’s privacy compliance function.  The successful candidate is passionate about privacy and even more passionate about process and scale!  You love challenges, building and collaborating with internal teams to create best in class compliance programs in a fast moving environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the Legal team’s support of Reddit global privacy compliance program.  Provide advice and counsel to ensure Reddit meets its legal obligations and legal requirements under US, EU and other application legal frameworks.
  • Implement and maintain external and internal privacy and legal related policies and processes in line with industry-standard frameworks.  Partner with and advise the product and technical teams to design and implement privacy controls as part of Reddit’s privacy program.
  • Be the lead legal subject matter expert for privacy and data protection, ensuring consistency in privacy counseling across the legal team, in line with Reddit’s user centric approach to privacy.  Provide expert advice on all aspects of data protection law.
  • Partner with and advise technical teams to investigate potential privacy and security issues and ensure compliance with applicable law.
  • Be a strategic, proactive and pragmatic legal partner and collaborator with high EQ.
  • Be an evangelist across the company and externally for Reddit’s privacy focused approach.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Law degree (JD, LLB, LLM, etc.).  You are locally licensed in your jurisdiction, and ideally you have legal experience in multiple jurisdictions.
  • 12+ years of post law school experience with 5+ years of in-house privacy compliance experience.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing a successful privacy compliance program in a fast paced, product forward environment.
  • Experience with global privacy laws and industry guidelines, especially including those relevant for tech platforms like Reddit.
  • Strong legal drafting and writing skills and a penchant for concise, plain English writing.
  • Experience responding to and partnering with regulators, particularly in Europe.
  • Experience managing or mentoring legal team members in a dynamic, inclusive environment.
  • Nimble, fast moving, proactive and an excellent communicator. You’re used to collaborating effectively across time zones and have the ability to build strong relationships with engineers, product managers, legal colleagues and other internal stakeholders at all levels of the business.

$293,300 – $410,600 USD
