Trust & Safety Policy Manager, Market Responsibility

The Trust & Safety Policy Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures related to government takedown requests, including being a thought leader on regional content moderation issues, balancing compliance with local law, creator expression, and public interest. This will include working cross-functionally with Legal, Government Affairs, and other internal teams to shape, implement, and scale policies and processes. This role also requires intaking and processing of sensitive and complex legal removals requests. The Policy Manager will also help to assess and plan for the company impact of new and upcoming global legal requirements regarding content moderation.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, review, and update policies and procedures governing government takedown requests, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Anticipate and plan for changes and updates to policies and operations based on new and upcoming global legislation related to content moderation
  • Deliver data-sourced insights regarding policy and legal challenges facing Spotify and other technology platforms and make recommendations on how to address them
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure policies align with company objectives and industry best practices.
  • Launch policy updates and recommend operational updates based on new or updated laws and regulations.
  • Implement effective processes for handling government takedown requests, including timely review, investigation, and response.
  • Work with Spotify teams to educate government representatives on the company’s policies, procedures, and commitment to user safety.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for internal teams on government takedown request policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams handling government requests, ensuring consistent and accurate responses.
  • Track and analyze trends in government takedown requests to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on government takedown request activities for senior management.
  • Respond to and manage high-profile government takedown requests, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure a timely and appropriate response.

Who You Are

  • BS/BA degree required.
  • A minimum of 5+ years experience in the Trust & Safety space, including developing processes around content moderation, government removal requests, and/or platform transparency reports.
  • Strong understanding of government takedown request laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with content moderation policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of international laws and regulations related to content moderation.

  • This role will be located in New York, NY.

The United States base range for this position is $100,000 – $ 130,000, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. Senior Office Coordinator

We are looking for a Senior Office Coordinator to join our Facility Management team as part of our Global Workplace Services (GWS) team. You will report into our Regional Facilities Manager, South Europe, located in Berlin.

The GWS team makes Spotify a great place to work by providing spaces and services that bring our culture and values to life and keep band members safe. We cover all aspects and the full life cycle of our buildings and consist of GWS Performance & PMO, GWS Enablement & Community, Real Estate, Workplace Build Projects, Workplace Experience & Support (Facility Management, Workplace IT and Travel) and Business Protection.

What You’ll Do

  • You will play a pivotal role bringing the Spotify culture to life in our office and overseeing the day-to-day operations in Milan by:
  • Encouraging a positive workplace experience by coordinating events and initiatives that promote a sense of community.
  • Being a Community X Ambassador and working with other local team members to plan fun local initiatives to increase employee engagement and employee satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the rest of the South EMEA Facility Management team to improve and deliver the best workplace experience across all of our offices in the region.
