Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
The External Data & Supplier Relations & Controls team is responsible for the successful ownership and management of the lifecycle and processes used to bring new external data, products, and services solutions into the organization. The team provides solutions to meet business needs and enhance business process, owns the management of external supplier and partner relationships for a line of business and sets procedures for supplier and data risk management for the line of business while providing guidance and direction to business partners. As the Manager, External Data & Supplier Relations, you will be responsible for overseeing supplier relationship management, price negotiation, cybersecurity tracking, risk management and other functions while working collaboratively with your team and partnering across departments to achieve the team’s goals.
What Will You Do?
- Manage supplier relationship management, supplier, and product research, and tracking of supplier performance for a select group of suppliers.
- Manage and support selected department supplier requests and relationships and work with team to ensure supplier risk management, and data risk management are accurate and current.
- Work with contracting, legal and business partners to review contract language and to ensure appropriate service level creation & monitoring.
- Assist Corporate Procurement with contract business price review and negotiation.
- Lead cybersecurity tracking and assist with issue mitigation with vendors.
- Assist with area audit response.
- Work to drive optimal cost of ownership, participate in cross functional teams, lead effort with Corporate Procurement with RFx (request for proposal, information, quote), assist with supplier selection recommendations, maintain sourcing documentation, and assist with managing contract renewals.
- Participate in team and division projects and other activities as required.

Software Engineer – II (Workday)
Travelers is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our organization as we grow and transform our Technology landscape. Individual will complete advanced end to end engineering tasks for specific system assignments including designing, developing, analyzing, configuring, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documenting, health monitoring/alerting, and implementing based on user or system specifications, consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications, managing interaction between the systems and other technical support areas and defining technical requirements and coordinating team resources to solve problems.

Account Executive Officer/Senior Underwriter, National Accounts
National Accounts provides casualty solutions for clients with significant risk with coverages such as Workers’ Compensation, General and Product Liability, as well as Commercial Automobile Liability. The Account Executive Officer (AEO), National Accounts will partner with agents, brokers, and customers to provide guaranteed cost and loss sensitive coverage for new and renewal business based on customers’ needs. This role is seen as a technical resource. As an AEO, you are decisive, detail-oriented, and know how to build relationships internally and externally to drive results. Your ability to independently assess complex risk and sell our products in challenging markets will contribute to the profitability and success of Travelers.
What Will You Do?
- Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
- Underwrite and skillfully negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners within the business unit and across the enterprise to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Foster and maintain relationships with external partners by regularly meeting in person with agents, brokers, and customers to market and sell Travelers products with a goal of writing and retaining accounts consistent with our risk appetite. Must be able to travel to such meetings.
- Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills. The sales process to target new accounts has a long runway (6 months to 1 year).
- Independently develop and execute agency sales plans and frequently partner with your Managing Director (MD) to develop region/group sales plans.
- May assist in the training and mentoring of less experienced Account Executives.

Insurance Policy Research and Certification Leader
