What You’ll Do
- Scale Reporting Excellence: Design, develop, and implement tools and processes to provide grocery & retail merchants with best-in-class business reports and insights.
- Support Seamless Merchant Experience: Build and leverage automation solutions to enhance the delivery of reporting and insights, ensuring merchants enjoy a seamless, user-friendly experience.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Drive the ongoing enhancement of Uber’s reporting and insights solutions to elevate the merchant experience. Identify areas for optimization and implement improvements that enhance the value merchants receive from Uber’s platform.
- Provide Data-Driven Recommendations: Conduct in-depth analyses to uncover key insights, which you will synthesize into actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Stakeholder management: Orchestrate and bring together the work of a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Product, Finance, Account Management, Support, Policy, Communications and Legal while driving accountability to ensure deadlines are met
- Alignment & Product collab: Ensure product launches and new merchant requirements are reflected & aligned to data and supported by reporting
- Create Technical Documentation: Produce comprehensive documentation outlining report structures and technical processes to support internal and external stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, economics, engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in business operations or business analytics
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis
- Experience using Python or R for data extraction, statistical analysis, and process automation
- Familiarity with data science libraries (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, SciPy)
- Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills
- Ability to solve complex business problems across multiple teams and product areas
- Attention to detail with the ability to execute efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field
- Six Sigma certification or experience with methodologies
- Experience developing and managing business reporting and insights solutions
- Industry experience in grocery and/or retail
- Familiarity with Python libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, pipenv)
