Job Summary
This position develops and manages a portfolio of customers in business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) within a specific geographical area.

 

Territory: Uniondale, NY

Responsibilities:
Searches and develops potential clients to meet monthly and annual sales targets.
Makes contact by telephone or email to obtain the initial information about the potential customer and then sets up in person appointments.
Explores customer needs and presents UPS services.
Negotiates and prepares a comprehensive logistics solution for the customer.
Focuses on retaining and penetrating active clients in portfolio.
Completes maintenance, problem resolution, and sales management of client portfolio.
Monitors sales through the drafting and updating of reports and internal systems.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or International equivalent – Required
Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle

Pay Range:

The salary range for this position is $61,320.00/year to $105,960.00/year. Courier Material Handler (TX-DFW) M-F 11:30am to 7:30pm

Courier Material Handler – seeking an individual to join a two-person team to pack, pick up and deliver packages from a local customers location.

 

Full Time Monday – Friday 11:30 am to 7:30 pm @ $19 per hour.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload shipments for delivery.
  • Knowledge of and abide by all safety, security, and operating procedures for pickup and delivery of customer packages and operating motor vehicles including remaining in compliance with all Federal, state, and local laws.
  • Scan information on airbills and manifests.
  • Receiving and processing incoming goods.
  • Picking and filling orders from stock.
  • Packing and shipping orders, and/or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
  • Consolidating partial pallets, shrink wrapping and moving completed pallets to shipping labels.
  • Following established policies and procedures aimed at keeping the goods in excellent condition.
  • Maintaining safety standards.
  • Completing paperwork promptly.
  • Assist with inventory and cycle count, monthly count and daily reconciliations.
  • Cross-train, as needed, to learn other warehouse functions.
  • Housekeeping tasks of warehouse and other duties as assigned by management.

 

Requirements:

  • Applicants must complete TSA testing.
  • Position requires the ability to communicate (write and speak) in English and the ability to provide general direction to others.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license.

PT On-Road Supervisor

This position is responsible for supervising the daily performance of service providers to ensure quality service, improve performance, and maintain compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements. He/She encourages sales lead participation through maintaining mutually beneficial customer relationships. This position supervises others within the department.
This position works with service providers to maximize day-to-day proficiency and ensure packages are delivered in a safe, timely, and professional manner. He/She participates in the development and implementation of work process plans to maximize center proficiency and achieve business results. This position reviews and analyzes work processes and work schedule information (e.g., exception reports, volume delivered/hour, miles driven, car set up, hours worked, accidents, etc.) to identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Completes administrative tasks (i.e., performance reviews, accident reports, service failures, training) in a timely, accurate manner to facilitate the execution of the dispatch plan through the Service Providers.
  • Completes required audits during on-job supervision rides to ensure adherence to UPS policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes technology (Orion, PAS, Telematics, etc.) to identify opportunities for performance improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Communicates with customers to respond to service concerns, build relationships, and determines solutions that meet business goals.
  • Uncovers business opportunities to forward this information to the proper department (i.e., dispatch supervisor, center management, and business development) for follow up.
  • Encourages service providers to identify and forward volume development opportunities to management.

Project Coordinator, Cell and Gene Therapies – Marken

Marken, UPS Healthcare Precision Logistics (formerly Marken, MNX & Polar Speed), the clinical and advanced therapy subsidiary of UPS Healthcare, unites expertise across healthcare and complex secure logistics to drive the success of our clients through innovation.

 

Main Purpose: An opportunity to be on the frontline of healthcare innovation and to help facilitate the shipments and therapies aimed at saving human life! This will change the face of medicine as we know it. In this role, the candidate will provide an enhanced level of customer support and operational support for movement of any cell and gene shipment through our Marken’s network and that of our parent company, UPS. This will be working with our Project Managers and with our global branches to facilitate these movements, tracking through our GPS technology and proactively acting to avoid delays and risks. Project Coordinators will provide a superior level of monitoring for these life saving therapies.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for successfully supporting the Project Manager and customer and support daily project operations as it relates to cell and gene shipments.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with internal departments – Project Management, Operations, Customer Relationship Managers, and the Customer Services Team and Overseas Marken offices/agents.
  • Support the Project Manager with set up activities
  • Support daily operations, liaise with the Control Tower and Logistics Coordinators
  • Complete the initial lane mapping with support from the Project Manager
  • Arrange shipments with local offices and agents
  • Book shipments in the Marken Maestro system
  • Review lane mapping files with operations teams on a frequent basis
  • Upload Maestro templates and keep these maintained if required
  • Provide daily tracking reports to clients
  • Report and escalate any issues to the Project Manager
  • Assist the Project Manager with billing and logistics enquiries.
  • Attend internal and client facing calls and meetings, providing support with meeting minutes
  • Point of contact to the client logistics team, responding to day to day queries.
  • Assist in updating activities and milestones in project plans
  • Daily tracking and compliance of client specific paperwork.
  • Document compliance and make visible to the client
  • Work with the regulatory team to ensure trade compliance

 

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree and a 2 years customer service or project management experience.
  • Knowledge in Pharma, Medicine, or Logistics.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in dealing with people and speaking to clients.
  • Experience in the courier or freight industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks.
  • Must have an eye for detail and the ability to think on their feet.
  • Organized and skilled in tracking with the ability to multi-task and problem solve.
