This customer-oriented professional service representative uses an advanced knowledge of customer service practices, procedures, policies, billing, contracts and benefits to respond to a variety of complex inquiries related to Rocky Mountain Health Plans benefits and services for all lines of business. If applicable, this representative primarily serves the Spanish speaking population.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week), Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm MST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 2775 Crossroads Blvd., Grand Junction, CO 81506.

We offer 2 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am – 5:00pm MST, Monday – Friday. Training will be conducted onsite.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works as part of the Customer Service group and helps meet the demands of the entire team in providing professional customer service via the telephone or in person
  • Responds to a variety of complex inquiries related to Rocky Mountain Health Plans benefits and services, as well as NHP Medicaid RAE benefits and services. Uses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, professional demeanor, tact, systems thinking, and a commitment to quality to serve the customer by assisting in the resolution of sensitive and complex health plan issues via the telephone, email, or in person
  •  Develop and maintain knowledge base to support special projects and research as needed. Demonstrates exceptional levels of performance (e.g. statistics, aptitude for systems and proficiency in written and verbal communications)
  • Produce electronic and written communications to customers and perform research and call-backs to customers
  • May offer suggestions regarding process improvement and be responsible for other projects as assigned (e.g., retention, at-risk calls, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of customer service experience within a call center
  • Experience with Microsoft products including Microsoft Word (create and edit documents), Microsoft Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets), Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management) and Microsoft Teams (chat, creating teams and channels)

Preferred Qualifications:

The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Primary Responsibilities:

Key Agent/Agency Performance:

  • Agent Development: Mentor, coach and engage key agents/agencies through ongoing business and strategy planning. This includes identifying sales opportunities, product positioning, UHC tools, UHC value proposition, compliance, and market education
  • Onboarding: Reach out to new agents identified by the PHD to share UHC learning, growth tools and value proposition. Design agent-level plan to sell within first 90 days and create a successful early launch for the agent
  • Resource Distribution Management: Identify high performing or high potential agents to share resources such as MIRA, FMA, sponsorships, retail and sales and educational events
  • FLP Campaigns and Documentation: Engage in outbound call campaigns to drive sales

Multi-Channel Growth:

  • Product Education and Training: Conduct market specific trainings for key agent population, agencies, providers, and influencers. Promote National scheduled trainings for all agents/agencies
  • Product and Marketing Presentations: Present the UHC value proposition at UHC-owned or EDC-owned events
  • Marketing Strategy: Find opportunities for Direct to Consumer (DTC)-specific or other marketing based on geographic nuances/demographics
  • Channel Education: Introduce the DTC concept in the community where appropriate; evaluate the relationships to identify the right partnerships for this opportunity

Strategic Opportunities/Provider & Community Outreach:

  • Execute on Provider Strategies thru DTC & Key agents: Identify, train, and manage agents assigned to work on provider activities
