Payroll Contractor
Soni is partnering with a growing organization to hire a Payroll Contractor to support day-to-day payroll operations. This role helps process employee pay, update payroll records, respond to payroll questions, and ensure accurate, timely payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working in Excel, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support bi-weekly payroll processing for U.S. employees
- Update employee payroll information (new hires, pay changes, terminations, leaves)
- Respond to payroll questions and employee inquiries
- Assist with manual payroll entries, adjustments, and corrections
- Process bonuses, reimbursements, tax updates, and deductions
- Run payroll reports and support basic payroll analysis
- Partner with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy
- Support audits, documentation, and compliance tasks
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate payroll records
Requirements:
- 2+ years of payroll or payroll-related experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience working with payroll systems or HR systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable handling confidential information
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Paylocity or similar payroll platforms
