The Opportunity

The leader will design and drive the Hedging strategy & initiatives across business portfolios in line with global best practices and unlock value for the organization. Annual volumes are over 10mn tonnes and forex play of ~ USD 10 billion. Looking for a v versatile and high caliber Subject Matter Expert from top global Corporates, Banks, Trading firms, having deep experience in Commodities Hedging (including Forex & Interest Hedging).

ESL Steel Limited is poising towards debottlenecking of its operations & has expansion plans in Jharkhand state. We are in the process of expanding in 2 phases (First phase is 1.5 MT to 3 MT) Brown field project and from 3 MT to 10 MT Green Field Project, to ensure Vedanta’s strong footprint in steel business.

Position Name: Head – Compensation & Benefits

Experience: 8+ Yrs.

Grade – M4/M5

Qualification: MBA, PGDBM

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Interpret and implement HR policies regarding compensation and Benefits
  • Execute annual performance appraisal, annual performance bonus, productivity linked bonus, industry benchmark benefits and stock options as per company policy
  • Develop compensation and rewards strategies for the employees
  • Prepare HR budget and manpower cost as per annual business plan
  • Perform salary reviews based on market and sector specific benchmarking
  • Manage end-to-end Payroll process, ensure accurate and timely processing of salary
  • Review and validate payroll data to ensure zero error
  • Ensure adherence of compliance related to tax and labour laws
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with payroll processing

Required skills

  • Hands on experience in SAP & Darwin Box
  • Knowledge of preparing compensation packages and bonus programs for various departments for different grades

Head Safety

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Drive various safety initiatives such as CRM, Cross Business audit to ensure compliance and identify area for improvement.
  • Develop infrastructure Matrix of Critical risks and hazardous across BU
  • Actively monitoring and contributing to incident management module, striving to maintain 100% adherence to safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with different business units to manage data effectively and develop insightful dashboards to track and report safety metrics
  • Ensure full utilization of Enablon platform to prepare dashboards, tracking Safety MIS and providing trend analysis on various safety indices
  • Tracking of LTI, LTIFR, Fatality and CAPA compliance across BU
  • Co-ordinating Seminars and training for capability building on safety

Candidate Profile :

•B.E/B.Tech in Industrial Safety or Fire & Safety

•Additional qualification / experience in NEBOSH or RLI will be preferred

•Analytical and problem-solving ability
