Your Key Responsibilities
- Detail bench marking of components wrt to dimension, functional & material to process it’s design
- Design of automotive parts (clutch, CRS, tensioner, bearing, engine parts) according to customer requirement or benchmark data considering internal and international standards.
- Design standardization while design the new projects Perform required design calculations, FEA, simulations, etc.
- Prepare product drawings (Assembly/components) in 2D & 3D format according to internal standard requirements
- Prepare necessary design documents such as FMEA, design reports, ECN, BOM, etc. Lead the product development process of respective projects (including benchmarking, product design, proto and validation) coordinating with internal and external suppliers. Participate in required customer/supplier meetings and vehicle fitment trails.
- Participate in failure analysis / RPA activity and support with necessary inputs to resolve Analyse and approve special release together with QA Ensure the data confidentiality and data security Support cost saving projects, analyse technical proposal and change product if necessary
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile)
- Hands on experience of 4-6 years in the area of product design wrt it’s concept, detailing, calculations and optimization.
- Hands on experience in design & PM softwares such as ProE/Creo/ANSYS/Windchill/SAP
- Strong technical background in handling the automotive components. Experience in clutch, clutch release system, primary & secondary drive tensioners, Bearings would be prefered.
- Proficient in spoken and written English. Any Asian and/or German language would be appreciated Proficient in interpersonal decision making and communication skill
- Hands on experience in MS Office in particular to MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams Good understanding/knowledge about manufacturing processes such as Stamping, Heat treatment, casting, Machining, Injection moulding, etc.
- Willing to travel within and outside of Asia Pacific, able to work within complex matrix organizations.
